First visit to this quaint little cafe on Thursday 6th April. It was so nice to step out of the crazy world of 2023 and be served with great tasty food and proper friendly service which felt like being back in the 1970s. I don't mean that in a negative way of course just in a meaning of the whole experience being really relaxing and homely. I didn't want to leave if I am being honest has it was so cosy and relaxing. I used to live and visit Peter Cushings favorite old cafe called The Tudor Tea Rooms in Whitstable and this reminded me of it so much with its old English decor, tablecloths and crockery. So thank you for the lovely full English breakfast and the marvellous pot of tea I had and to the lovely lady who served me. Will definitely be returning.
A good old-fashioned little cafe that serves good hearty meals.
Staff are attentive and friendly.
There are a lot of regulars that have been going there for years and everyone knows everyone in here (except us 🙄), so the younger generation might find it a bit old fashioned.
It's a little quirky inside, and although it needs a serious update, that really doesn't matter because the food is always good!
Basically, if you don't mind a little traditional cafe and some good tasty food then I'm sure you will enjoy it!
P. S. They also do a delicious afternoon tea for less than most places charge but you will need to book 😋.
Such a welcoming place to eat the staff are amazing people and go out if there way to help you. Freshley homemade food every day makes me feel like back at nanny's house.
