From start to finish this was a lovely experience. Service, food and atmosphere were all great. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each course was served and expertly explained. We added the cheese course which is likely not necessary but thoroughly enjoyable. The broth looked so simple but was so complex in flavor we could have drank a ton of it. Highly recommend this experience.
Nicely located a few miles from Glasgow, with a nice park around.
Great diner opening with Amuse bouche as Japanese style tea tradition but with deer and shitake mushrooms consommé.
Hand dived Orkney Scallops with Oscietra caviar and a wonderful Dashi butter sauce.
Excellent langoustines main, perfectly cooked with very interesting sauce and potato combo.
Some negative comments, though, despite very nice service :
Aged Parmesan risotto was served a bit too hot so the truffles taste was overcome by the Parmesan salty taste. Dommage.
Cheese plate didn’t have any Scottish cheese, so a bit sad not being able to go local.
And main thing was a lot of midges inside the restaurant, flying over the wine glasses so shadowing a the overall nice experience.
From the moment we walked in we felt so well looked after by all the team , The dining room is beautiful and you instantly feel at ease , the food was second to none , we had the tasting menu and I can honestly say it’s the best experience I’ve had . The food was beautifully presented and the most importantly tasted amazing . We had both the vegetarian and normal tasting menu and loved every course . A wonderfully curated creative menu . Special mention to the scallop dish ! Absolute favourite . Cameron house where the restaurant is situated is a lovely venue and there is ample parking within .
