What a find. Unassuming exterior reveals a sort of film-set dark wood interior that’s part highland croft and part pirate hideout. Certainly a setting for a winter’s eve by the fire. Yet there’s also a pool table, video jukebox and a high-energy and chatting waiting service, so this is no theme park of a pub. Just as you’re trying to understand the approach you realise it’s about food - high quality, local and fresh. Boom. The lobster and scallops are exceptional. They are alive in my memory and I’m counting the time till I can go again. Fish and chips were excellent. Burger was tasty. In all a cracking find and worth a drive from the main road.
A massive shame and I'm not going to complain about the place as it was fine. The food was good, the staff were lovely, but we firstly checked it out on there Web site first before booking and it stated a 8 oz Serloin stake was £16.50, but we paid about £29.00. I appreciate that prices have increased for just about everything in the world right now, but this seems majorly extreme. My partner and I both said that if the cost was a little lower we would have returned again before we left for home, but not at these increases. Please change your Web page.....
