We’ve been coming to Aberystwyth for the comedy festival, and our favourite restaurant had changed hands so we wanted to find somewhere new. It was pure chance that we found the Bulgarian Kitchen, its friendly green exterior and soft lighting convinced us to step inside. The atmosphere is refreshingly simple and warm, with traditional Bulgarian music played in the background. The rich red covered bench tables are more than enough space if you’re a couple or a bigger party. The concise menu of traditional dishes allow many needs and tastes, and the food is served fresh and piping hot. Service is very courteous and friendly. This is a very popular restaurant, but there is plenty of seating, and waiting time for dishes is very reasonable and well worth the wait. The restaurant has a licence so you can have alcohol with your meal, or coffee. If you want to escape the identical characterless eateries, the Bulgarian Kitchen is packed with character and atmosphere a flavour of is country and a real destination to eat and experience. We’ll come back again soon!
A really enjoyable change from the normal fair. Food was good wholesome right amount and very pleasing. Bulgarian beer also different but nice. Full marks around.
As tourists from Turkey we were treated excellently and I can certainly say that this restaurant is one of the best places to eat in this city. The portions are huge and the price is well worth it.
The fries we had were excellent along with the chicken steak. Afterwards we also went for the Kofte or meatballs which were also great.
I would certainly recommend this place as a person who has been to Bulgaria many times and very good even considering the home country’s standards.
Thanks
