After a very long 6 hour trip from Yorkshire we finally arrived at the Kings Arms Hotel, from the minute we got their until we left 2 days later the staff could not have been more polite, helpful and welcoming. We were asked if we would like help with our luggage (which we declined) then shown to our rooms whilst being shown of where low ceilings were and slants in the floor (it's an incredibly old place with a lot of character and charm). At one point we asked for some extra towels (as there were afew of us) and the staff were happy to oblige and asked if we needed anything else (more bottled water, tea, coffee). Every member of staff I spoke to were great and accommodating, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know some of them. The location is in a great spot over looking some beautiful countryside to the side whilst being on the corner of the main town centre, so is close walking distance to everything you could want or need. To the outside front they have a large benched area nice for a sunny day. The back extends to a large venue area, the night we got there there was a local band playing and had a good time there. Breakfast was nice even offering a selection of how you'd prefer your eggs, along with various cereals and juices, yogurts etc. Bed was comfy, plenty of storage and spacious room. Their was also a bible, hairdryer and earplugs supplied in the room but we had need for none. Shower temperature was great and didn't have a mind of its own. All in all 5 stars (would give it more) would definitely recommend and would stay there again if I was in the area. Thanks for a really nice weekend Kings Arms staff.

Fantastic Christmas work's do for the 2nd year running. I have been to many Christmas work's dos and I must say in this place the quality of the food and atmosphere is superb. I would like to thank Sacha and her fantastic team for being so attentive and making us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this place for the quality of food, service and gorgeous rooms. Thank you so much x

Such a great pub. Staff are all top notch, the place is spotless, beer well looked after and a great selection, the food well executed and local ingredients used. The breakfast was superb! As a group of 5 mates we stayed in three rooms, all of which were comfy, clean and warm, with powerful hot showers! Only snag was the beds a bit short, but didn’t stop getting a good nights sleep after a long hike up Pen Y Fan a shortish drive away. Great value for money! Can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks very much team!

Visited for Sunday lunch for the second time. Service was attentive. Good range of drinks. Food was pretty special, and much better than the normal Sunday lunch. The spiced pork was excellent. The vegetables were not the usual selection and were cooked to perfection. Definitely be back!

What lovely, helpful staff! I have limited mobility and we were stood outside last Sunday lunchtime, trying to find somewhere to sit, when a lovely lady asked us if we would like a table inside, she then showed us to a table just inside, which made it easy for me to access. We were then served one of the best Sunday roasts I have ever eaten, and very reasonable too. Highly recommended establishment.

A bit of an accident if honest, we were destined for another pub but could not get parked, ended up in this delightful venue for lunch. The service was outstanding with friendly, well trained and efficient staff front of house. The food was freshly cooked and you could tell everything was freshly prepared, not a freezer or microwave used in this production. The fish and chips were a delight, the batter perfectly crunchy to the last bite, triple cooked chunky chips lived up to the hype. Great experience, lovely staff, super food, highly recommend

We love the restaurant here. After 5 visits, we have only had positive experiences. The staff are proactive, friendly and helpful. The menu is consistent, with a good range of vegan/veggie options.

Stopped for food only and it was fantastic. Sat in area in near the back which was decorated beautifully. All the staff were friendly, funny and attentive. Food was the stand out, great quality and cooked perfectly. All four of us had different meals and had nothing bad to say.

Great little hotel, rooms were super cute and very clean! Staff were all lovely especially as we woke them up at 6.30 to let us out so we could climb sugarloaf - sorry again! Great pub attached with good beers and breakfast in the restaurant area was great! Would highly recommend, very reasonable price! Thanks for having us

We had a bit of a climb to our room, up in the roof void. It was so cosy and quirky. The addition of a few fans was very welcome. The bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up, and the pillows were the softest I have ever known. We really enjoyed our stay. We wish it had been longer! Staff were really helpful and friendly. And beautiful breakfast. Loved the old building. Gorgeous ❤️

Great night out 🙂 we only planned to go in for one drink, but realised they had a live band playing in the back. We ended up getting a table and staying the rest of the evening and throughly enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back.
