We are local but had some friends from abroad to stay and wanted to share a British high tea experience. It was nothing short of magnificent, a huge selection, everything generous, homemade and delicious. Unbelievably good value. Our friends were most impressed. (And we all got a doggy box for leftovers to take home!).
As ever service was very friendly and helpful, always a warm welcome here.
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.
(Ps the afternoon tea needs booking in advance).
Thank the gods for Llys Llewellyn. The bloke was told there was a pub half way round the walk but it was shut on arrival (Sunday). Then a shining oasis on the horizon: a licensed tea room with picnic benches in the sun.
And all the food was twice the expected portion size!! That's the cheesiest Welsh rarebit ever and the local beer was really good.
And rhubarb custard crumble ice cream too.
An unexpected find - breakfast bap is a huge delicious mouthful, my man loved it. I enjoyed the way to many sausages, sausage bap. Good coffee, us Canadians really appreciate that. Purchase a fresh loaf of Bara Brith - perfect purchase!!!
