Aberdeen so needs this place!
I'm staying in the hotel and have just eaten a solo meal in the brasserie. The food was fairly good though I'd have liked my honey roast vegetables roasted a little bit more convincingly.
Having said all that, breakfast the next door soothed my temper as it was as marvellous as a breakfast in malmaison always is. And fish in chips in the bar at lunchtime was pretty spectacular too.
My room was gorgeous. Plenty space, lovely bathroom, cosy bed. A room that looks out onto a school playground slightly bizarrely - which made for an interesting afternoon working at my desk.
And the rest of the hotel is indeed, as scotgirl says, stunning.
Welcome to Aberdeen, malmaison! We salute you.
I had really good breakfast and dinners here. My favorite breakfast is the waffle with salmon and cream cheese. The waffle is more or a crispy pancake topped with salmon and side of cream cheese, and hot tea to drink. I was in heaven. For dinner they took pride in their 28 days aged beef from Aberdeenshire and that was delicious with pomme frites, paired with their house Cabernet. Life was good. That's the great thing of staying at this hotel, after my delicious meal, I just walked up to my room. Amazing food, the one star off was I wished they have amazing dessert. I had the best dessert at moon fish cafe. I still think about that dessert. But, I salivate about the steaks here at Malmaison
I just had the best steak in all of Scotland, the service was even better. Shaun made us feel like we were the only customers in the entire place. I had the filet which melted in my mouth.
