Great dinner @ the Illicit Still! Staying at the Marriott and wanted some local flavor. Neat Pub, appeals to the locals and college crowd. Great food, very clean and service was great. Hope to visit again soon!

The ambience is great. The staff are friendly. They've got a decent collection of drinks. The place is usually crowded in the evenings and on game nights. The pub quiz is usually on Monday evenings. The food is pretty decent as well. A must visit if you're travelling to Aberdeen.

Traditional pub with fair prices. Hamburgers are good. Very well decorated and nice atmosphere inside. Great to grab some pints with pals. They even have an upstairs space for private events and cards with discounts.

It gets a 5 for atmosphere, service and drinks, but a 3 for food. They were out of a few things when we visited. What we did have was good - not fantastic, and not bad either. I would recommend this spot for a drink any day for the experience of being in a cool basement bar with pool tables, darts, etc. The fajitas we're good and the Dahl was also good, but I wouldn't recommend ordering it with chicken because it gets grilled separately and placed on top.

They had a football game on and the place was electric with excitement. I got the fish and chips and my group tried haggis for the first time. The haggis balls are amazing! Why is haggis not more popular?! I would definitely order it again, it was really good. Despite all the activity we were able to find a reasonably quiet spot. The bar staff is super friendly and very helpful. Over all this is a great place to visit, I can't wait to go back.

Went there for dinner on a Friday.
I love the pub decoration and atmosphere, quite busy but this is usually a very good sign :) (almost all tables were booked)
We had the rib eye steak with chips and we got it cooked rare which was perfectly meeting our expectations!

Another regular haunt for me in my Aberdeen days. The food was always really good here and the pub has a wonderful atmosphere. It's on the dark side but not in a "dark and dingy" sense but rather a "dark and cozy" sense. Good selection of beers and the staff were always very friendly when I was in.
