The Gurnard's Head Restaurant - Zennor - Photo album

We stumbled across The Gurnard’s Head Inn one stormy Sunday, it had a welcoming and warming atmosphere, the inn is well styled with lots of local artwork, interesting books and coastal maps. Unfortunate for us all tables for food were fully booked but a positive sign that it has a great reputation a
Wow. I can't say enough good things about this place. Every single thing we ate was fantastic, and the service was warm, kind, and prompt. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the grounds are beautiful, too. We would 100% recommend any meal here to other diners!
A large and fairly old pub with rooms, with a large garden, on the West Penwith peninsula. We got a warm welcome from the bar staff on arrival, bought drinks, and went straight out to the large garden. In the garden there is plenty of space, and just a few large tables, rather than fitting more ta
Not cheap but the service is top notch and the food is first rate. The breakfast menu is so varied that my wife and I have promised ourselves that we will be back just so we can try some of the other choices that we didn't go for this time. As I said not cheap but just that yourself if you can spare
This spot is nothing less than magical. Every dish was phenomenal. Probably the best piece of fish I’ve ever had in my life. Truly a Michelin star-grade experience. And don’t skip drinks or dessert!
We had great lunch here yesterday. All the staff were so friendly, and the food was amazing: flavourful, creative and beautifully arranged on a ceramic plate. We will surely be back! After lunch, we had a fantastic walk along the coast. It was a perfect afternoon in the Western Cornwall.
Lovely dinner here. Food is top notch with creative dishes expertly delivered by a talented kitchen. Well chosen wine list and top beer selection
We had Sunday lunch yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our meals, as did others on tables close by as I heard their positive comments. The staff were perfect in that they were attentive, efficient and very pleasant and smiley. My husband had a soup followed by the beef both of which he enthused about.
Absolutely beautiful, remote location in Cornwall, with a gorgeous 20-min cliffside walk to the peninsula. Clean, cozy and tastefully decorated room. We were shocked by how delicious and creative the food was — the best we had in the UK.
Fab family lunch had here. Super pub and extensive outside space. Food was amazing, with a special nod to the bread provided. The Old Fashioned made with Cornish spiced rum was delicious. Interesting and good value wine list too!
Accidentally found this gem of a place when our bus broke down right on it's doorstep. As I can't miss an opportunity to taste local beers, I headed inside. It was like the Tardis, far bigger on the inside. The staff were amazing and the variety of alcoholic beverages was brilliant. The menu for
I took my husband to The Gurnard's Head for his birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. The ambience, service, and food was absolutely top notch. We will most definitely be returning. Thank you 🙌.
Gorgeous setting, very accommodating & friendly. Was late for lunch, but asked the kitchen for a light snack, which we received. Sat in the garden soaking up the sun and beautiful scenery ☺️
Amazing rustic/cozy find off the beaten track, set price per dish encourages you to pick the best food for your taste rather than select via price or value (Supper Menu). Quality of all the food was impressive (Fish - Sole, Pork Belly and Rump of Beef). Best food I’ve eaten for a while, would recomm
Very rarely do you find a meal so nice, that you have to slow yourself down. Yet this is exactly what we found at the Gurnards Head. We opted for the crispy lamb and monkfish for starter - I had a slight preference for the crispy lamb. Accompanied by the Pork Belly for mains. Rarely do I leave a r
Remote and quirky gastro-pub west of St Ives on the North coast. The decor is sparse with lots of wood and original art works. The menu leans towards seafood and uses local seasonal produce. My starter was a warm brocoli and camenbert salad with hazelnuts (very good) esp with the soda bread provided
Booked in for Sunday Lunch, was going to have the traditional roasts etc, but as I was ordering I caught site of a vegetarian starter being served at another table, asking what it was, I switched to the smoked cauliflower starter and ordered Roast cabbage with romesco sauce with roasted red peppers.
Amazing way to experience the Cornish coast. Well appointed, comfortable rooms, superb food, and friendly, helpful staff. Lovely walks.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Visited the GH for my 40th bday while celebrating in Cornwall and I was made to feel like a princess. The staff friendliness the food the views all were sheer perfection. I'd happily drive 6.5 hours daily if I could just to eat there. I abs hated fish but this resta
