Had lunch here 10/23 whilst visiting friends who live locally. Two of us had the pie of the day, which was shin of beef. It was excellent - an individual shortcrust pie well-filled with generous servings of mash and buttered greens and with a tasty gravy. Service very good too. Only three stars
I usually refuse to go out for a Sunday roast dinner because they're never good enough for the money, the Foresters however was delightful and worth every penny. Very generous portion of prawns for the starter and every item on the main was gorgeous.
We did not have to wait very long between courses
It was really lovely. We had Sunday lunch and it was superb. The staff go above and beyond. Emma is the manager and you couldn't ask for a nicer and more pleasant young lady. Not to mention the chef's who are very professional and the food comes out piping hot. Well done everyone. We will be back.
Wagyu burger and Eton mess were fantastic. I wish I'd photographed the burger before wolfing it down. I'd definitely stop over there again on the way home from the National Memorial Arboretum
We went last Saturday night we both had the sirloin steak it was cooked to perfection and we had the cheesecake for afters and that was beautiful as well well presented and all home made the service was good they were very polite and nothing was too much
Lovely pub we just happened upon and glad we did,the food & drink we're top notch and the staff we're really friendly
Food was great, cocktails were lovely. Staff were friendly, funny, quick and helpful. Only issue we had was it was one of the hottest days and there were no fans or air con. We managed to stay to finish our meals but had to leave because it was uncomfortably hot. Will go there again when it's cooler
Stopped here for lunch off the cuff as we were nearby and I am so pleased that we did!!
Such an amazing find and the food was phenomenal!! The starter calamari was delicious and the batter was so light, mains I had the ham and eggs whilst hubby had the Mixed Grill and we had desert to take away! Ama
Had lunch here today. We were welcomed very nicely and shown our table. The menu was very good, the food was terrific and all at a reasonable price. Very good thank you.
Only stopped in for a coffee but planning a meal there in the future after speaking to the chef and him rating the food 10 out of 10 I hope it lives up to expectations 😀.

Almost returned to its former glory. Ambience not quite as it was with Steve and David at the helm.
Superb food, great banter with the staff too (a rare thing these days). A credit to the owners /management. Will see you again soon.

Great place to eat sea bass was perfect.staff bril. Spotless clean .had cheaper but well worth it . Will use again
Fab Sunday lunch. Plenty of choice, full plates, great service, good beer and fair prices. Clean, warm and stylish. Will return.
