We had both lunches & dinner over a couple of days here. Excellent food, great staff, nice atmosphere and interesting location. Highly recommended, would be happy to go back. The council or whoever is responsible could do with resurfacing the road though.

As an Italian, I was brought here by my British father in law to test the authenticity and I was extremely pleased to testify that is place is not only authentic but really good! The owner are from the Italian island of Sardinia and they bring classic Italian dishes and regional speciality as well! Highly recommended!
First time for us at this little gem. A little tricky to find, but worth it. We went on a late lunch and enjoyed it. We started with a cocktail, a Cuban for me I can't remember what the good lady had. Then a starter of olives and bruchetta. We had a pizza each for a main course. The place has a nice atmosphere with an outdoor balcony where you can enjoy views over the airfield. The service was excellent and not rushed, which I really appreciate. The food is very good and freshly cooked, and the price is not expensive. We'll be back to sample an evening meal in the near future.
Beautiful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and even better food, very clean and modern layout, five star service from every member of staff. Would highly recommend going out of your way to try the food here
Went for lunch for my daughters birthday. 6 of us. Absolutely brilliant fro. I start to finish. Lovely welcome food outstanding and the waiter was just brilliant. Got me to try a, sardonian wine and loved it. Lovely view of the airfield and he took a pic of us all. Definitely recommended and will definitely be back. Off the beaten track but oh so with it.
Lovely outlook over airfield. The approach is off-putting. The unmade driveway and carpark, the stairs and hallway needed a spruce up, The lift wasn't working and the toilets basic. The restaurant itself was really smart and welcoming, food v good.
Lovely meal in Al Volo, really good food and choice of food for us. Space for a family group of 8 on the balcony overlooking the airfield and surrounding countryside.
Strange location and access but once you are in it's a friendly warm Italian with really good food.
What a fantastic, unique little restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, amazing food and fantastic service. Definitely returning to watch the view over the airfield at some point. If there's a way to cut out the middleman and just have the bruschetta starter directly injected into my veins I WILL invest in that technology. Dont allow yourself to be put off the exterior setting, this place cannot be missed. Oh, and the carbonara pizza 🤌. Hell on earth, that hits the spot.

Excellent little Italian bistro situated in rufforth outside york, based on the airfield with beautiful views of the countryside.

An unusual and interesting situation for a restaurant next to a small airfield. It was fascinating watching the small aircraft take off and land.
The service was excellent and very well timed.
The food was tasty and authentic with an excellent variety of dishes.
The road into the airfield was in need of repair but it is fortunately short. We have already recommended it to friends. Sorry apparently I have sent an accidental adverse review in error, not concentrating properly. We are going again.
