Popular local bakery and cafe. Great options for snacks, breakfast etc and few lunch items such as sandwiches and savoury rolls. Really good coffees and cakes. Seating both indoors and outdoors as well as a small play area for children. Super friendly staff!

Lovely breakfast options. The savoury roll was delicious, I could have have 5 of those!! Also very good coffee, and I loved that staff was kind and left us work away quietly without any problem. Would definitely recommend as a work or study café for a couple of hours.

Coffee and cinnamon bun were excellent. We didn't try any of the savoury offerings but they all looked tasty, with plenty of vegetarian options. It's in a big airy space, child friendly with a play corner and baby changing facilities, and very accessible for those with limited mobility and wheelchair users with a large disabled toilet.

Cosy place with a good selection of vegetarian food and drink. The Cadburys Creme Egg hot chocolate was delicious, and the salted caramel millionaire shortbread didn't disappoint - lovely shortbread and a great balance between sweet and salty!

A great first day opening today! We’ve been to all the Bluebird Bakery stores and they are all consistently good! There were a long queue before it opened which is great support for a local business. Plenty of breads/rolls and baked goodies on offer! The coffee was hot and fresh!! Lots of seating both inside and out!!

A very nice cafe. The food was very good. The lentil soup was excellent. Popular so need to pick your time to visit and popular with families with small children. Seating and tables could be optimised more if gently managed by staff.

Great cafe with lots of drink and food on offer. I especially enjoyed my dairy free cake! The children's play area is brilliant, just wish it could be a bit bigger!

Great place to share a bite. Coffee is good and there is a good selection of teas. The food is upmarket compared to your usual mainstream bakery, so no sausage rolls or pasties, which is a nice change. There is something for everyone, kids too, so even the fussiest of appetites are covered. It does get a little loud on occasion due to the solid walls and ceiling and the gym is above. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and there are baby changing and disabled toilets. There are also some dog treats freely available at the tills. Queues are split, left side to eat in and right side to take away.

First time here, will definitely revisit. Large, spacious café with big plate glass windows overlooking Acomb Road. Kids' play area in corner inside, window bar stools and separate tables to sit at, including plenty of outdoor seating to the front with most of them under cover. Attractive floral planters outside and lots of plants in hanging baskets inside. Also, little vases of fresh flowers on the tables inside, a nice touch, better than plakky ones. They're also going to be open late til 9 p.m. for Christmas shopping. There are 2 separate till queues - one for dining in and one for takeout, which is a good idea. I understand it gets pretty busy, but I went midweek and was there early at about 8.30 a.m., so not too busy and certainly not noisy at that time. Dogs are not allowed inside but there are dog treats available on the counter. This is a vegetarian and vegan place, no meat. I had a very good hot chocolate and an almond croissant which was lovely. I also succumbed to what I thought was going to be a cinnamon swirl, but was in fact a cinnamon bun. It was huge, the size of your head! An elephant would have been most content with this humungous bun - maybe I was an elephant that day, ha ha. Very tasty. For takeout, I purchased some cheese straws and cor, they were grrreat, to quote Tony the Tiger. But am saving the best til last..... the spinach/chickpea rolls were out of this world divine!! The light pastry was melt in the mouth lush. So, so addictive, am going to have to get to Bluebird regularly for these. Can't recommend these rolls highly enough. Simply gorgeous. Nom nommm yummy! And the staff were polite and efficient too. Very highly recommended with bells on - their products are fantastic.
