Pretty decent service, atmosphere and ambiance a little hard to call as we sat outside. You are able to sit indoors however, who doesn’t like a little people watching? Coffee was pretty good, cake was excellent however the croissant was dry, small and overpriced. Such a pity ad everything else was spot on!

We arrived in York a bit early and managed to pass the time with a breakfast. The two very young servers were attentive and eager to help, while the manager seemed a bit flustered. The breakfast itself was excellent, incredibly delicious. Our dogs were also warmly welcomed.

Good location in the heart of York and friendly service with a smile. Lovely. I only had a coffee and a mid morning bacon buttie and didn't venture inside as table service is provided out on the square, which is where I sat. Weather was perfect which always helps! Coffee was good, a cappuccino, but the sandwich was a little lacking. Served in a thick cut bread with mushrooms and tomatoes, it tasted fine but the presentation was poor. Stuck on a white plate, cut in half and looking a little forlorn. There was no depth to the filling that felt lost in the thick bread. The process of eating starts with what you are presented with and this was a bit of a fail, I'm afraid. I would return as the location is great although I have noticed on other visits to York that it can get very busy. Service was good apart from being asked if I'd like a gratuity to be added to the bill when I paid by card! (Possible can of worms opened there but that was my feeling when asked). Good menu size and choice, prices seem okay for centre city eating and by and large a good place to try out.

Stopped off for breakfast twice, there are a few of these dotted around town. The breakfast was lovely, piping hot and lovely tea. Didn't realise the place was so big but we were on ground floor. Lots of lovely staff so service was fab. Would definitely recommend for a breakfast stop.

Great food/ menu choice. Wonderful staff. Dog friendly for 2 large white GSDs. Very busy everyday. Only 1 facility for customers use, which was well used.

One of the best lunches I’ve had in a very long time! Very good value for money with all the salads you get included. Absolutely delicious, hard to choose what to have as it all looked so good. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable 👍

Really quaint little cafe (thou after wandering York discovered there's several of them). The lunch definitely didn't seem worth the price but the free 3 salads expand on that. Definitely tasty and really well made. Something to go back to and try a few others.

It was really lovely!!! I came in for a bit of brunch before work and the staff were very welcoming and lovely. I’ve had it before where you’re made to feel a bit unwelcome as a solo diner but this was not the case here at all. Very quick service . Food and drinks were delicious!!!

First time i visited Lucky Days in Parliament Street, York I was not disappointed we have hot drinks and cake. The Management team were excellent and have trained their staff very well. Everyone was friendly said hello and good buy. Well done I will be returning for more food as the menu looked lovely

We found this little cafe on arrival to York which is next to the Shambles. The kids portions were decent size (ham and cheese panini and jacket potato with cheese). Both my husband and I opted for the deli, him Moroccan chicken stew and I the teriyaki salmon. The salmon was tiny but thankfully with the three side salads made up for the lack of salmon. All the side portions were tasty, so would still highly recommend this place if your passing by.
