We came for the lamb feeding experience at Easter and both my kids (7 and 3) loved it. They also loved the new play area set up in the barn - bale maze and roleplay shop as well as a colouring area. They both completed the Easter trail too. We loved seeing the animals and being able to buy pig food. The restaurant/cafe is lovely and I’ve had some really tasty meals here. This time we got hot chocolate, coffee and pastries and were served very quickly and also given the table of our choice (with the swings!) A lovely place to visit, we spent a good few hours here!

Plenty of fresh produce, eggs, chutneys, chocolates, biscuits, guns, vinegar. Prices as expected - above supermarket. Very clean and well presented shop. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. Cafe was really really tasty. 20 minute wait to be seated. So we walked around. Veggie breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended, would come again!! Came again but this time for lunch. Had the Katsu burger. The chicken and fries were very tasty. But not sure about the Katsu curry sauce, Asian pickle and coleslaw. I didn't think it went well. Hubby had a bacon roll but found the bread too hard. Paid extra for the cheese which was a sandwich slice piece of cheese. Both meals ok. But if we came again we'd stick to breakfast, as that was a lot more satisfying. Waited 20mins to be seated which we expected. Staff very friendly and nice decor.

A lovely morning spent at Yolk farm! We sat outside with our dog and had a nice shady spot! We ordered coffee & smoothie to start and it arrived pretty quickly! Having looked at the menu, we both picked King of the North! The food was freshly cooked and the creamy scrambled eggs were delicious! It came with a sage & sausage patty, sweet crispy bacon, melted cheese and a toasted brioche bun! We had a mooch in the farm shop which sold lots of lovely produce! Then had a walk to see the animals! Will return again for more food!!

Well this place is full of surprises. Generous car parking, lovely grounds, motivated staff and very child focused. The selection of stock in the farm shop is mouth watering but the prices won't make your eyes water. The cafe looks great but as I didn't dine there I can't comment further than my coffee was spot on. It seems to me that the place is focused on visitors having a great experience rather than them spending the contents of their wallet.

We went for the Halloween pumpkin experience for the 2nd year in a row and It was even better this year. The attention to detail of the decorations and the cleanliness of the farm… yep a clean farm… made the day amazing for 4 girls between the ages of 3 and 10… the staff were lovely and the value for money & time was fantastic! Thank you everyone at Yolk and we will see you again very soon!

We came here for my daughter's fourth birthday party, and it was absolutely brilliant. She loved the variety of things to do and I think it's fair to say she loved the food too! Wholesome party bags were a hit with the kids as well. Highly recommend.

Travelled over 40 miles, (after seeing Yolk Farm on Instagram),to sample the delights on offer. I've got to say it was well worth the trip. We were seated straight away by very friendly staff and brought menus. We had already pretty much decided what we were having, I plumped for the fresh summer fruit pancake stack and my wife decided on the banana and toffee pancakes. We shared a bit of each and both were delicious. After settling the bill we went for a wander to view the animals who were sensibly hiding in the shade on a stifling hot day. Before we left we had a look in the very well stocked shop. The fresh fruit and vegetables looked amazing and there was an extensive array of other delights on offer. It was our first visit but certainly won't be our last. Would definitely recommend if in the area or fancy a little jaunt out for a treat!

We visited and were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable Alpaca guide. Very friendly and cheeky animals! The café was clean and service was efficient. During the meal half the table decided the chicken came first and the other half the egg. Upon further discussion we realised that the age old question was a bit vague and that it didn't matter in the big scheme of things because chickens are really cool. We did ask the chickens but they didn't seem to care. They also have some bales of hay that are really fun to jump around on with tall grass around where one might stalks one's prey. We also said hello to the goats but sadly didn't have time to chat to the piggies. We now want chickens and Alpacas because we are thinking of starting an eco friendly lawn mowing service.

Smashing place with a great rural vibe. True to their egg farm roots, with a focus on 'ocal sourcing and sustainability. Super smiley staff serving up a great selection of eggy delights. Can't recommend the brunch menu highlights enough... The Chicken & egg pancakes (which came first?) and the sweetcorn fritters in the Get Fresh brunch. Totally yummy., Don't miss out on visiting the Farm shop, if only for a box of their eggs, but I challenge you to manage to get to the till with just that, after you've passed the sausage rolls, the rhubarb, the gin selection...😂 Try it, you'll love it, and so will the kids with feeding the pigs, ogling the alpacas and trying to count the hens on the agenda. Oh, and did I mention the swings as seats in the cafe...?
