A nice place in the east campus of UOY with delicious food, excellent service and option.
I like this place better than some of the other pizza shops around york. The pizzas are big and I think they're priced reasonably. Only drawback is that it's a little far from where I stay but that shouldn't be a minus. The mozzarella sticks are awesome and staff are chill.
Cecil’s is always brilliant, serving fresh and hot food for the students of campus east. The owner is super friendly and even once went over to the nissa next door to buy some milk to make my friend some Turkish tea for a sore throat. Really affordable food and the establishment is always clean. Cannot recommend enough especially for students on a budget.
Great pizza, feta spinach and tandoori chicken toppings are my fav 🍕 the pasta is nice too!

Had the BEST Chicken Kebab I've EVER had last night! Amazing.. tried them before and it was salty.. so glad I went back! Highly recommended. Good service and great value for money!
I don't think ive ever been at a better take out place. The interior is perfection, the menus on the tvs are mesmerising. The staff are literally the nicest people I have ever met. The food quality is to die for. The prices are very fair. I would love to be able to eat here daily and I don't care if it clogs my heart and kills me. Cecils is exquisite and worth every single penny I own. Chefs kisses all around

Fresh marinated chicken, cooked on the grill, home made garlic yogurt, home made chilli sauce, home made bread - very very good. Only thing i would say is that the salad sometimes looks a little wilted as they prep this early.
Very good value for money, not tried other things on the menu, but for the Chicken Kebab, its worth a visit if your in the area...
Second time ordered from them. Customer service is really gooood. First I time ordered in the takeaway, the food was spot on. Second time, I ordered online for delivery, the food was spot on as well. Knocked off 1 star due to not getting the free garlic bread as I ordered over 15 pounds the second time and the online system was not updating me when it was out for delivery. However, I will order from here again! So much better than Efes Pizza!!!!!! :)
Had a few different things delivered recently from Cecils. Burgers, Pizza, Donner wrap. All very tasty and good portions, delivered quickly. The ingredients used are fresh & good quality, the chips are really good and well spiced - not the soggy affairs some takeaways serve. Love Cecils!
This is the first time I have been to Cecil's our son took us, it's a small place there were plenty of people there, I ordered a 1/2 pound burger with fries. The fries had some sort of flavouring on which was very nice and you could have a topping and sauce it was very large, I made a right mess of eating it but really enjoyed it. You can get pizzas and lots of other meals the only thing I didn't like was the fat running off the burgers but I will go again.
