Beautiful fish, chips and curry sauce and a lovely pot of tea. Well worth a visit. Staff very friendly and a welcoming atmosphere.
First ever visit. Pleasant staff. Took the order 2 cod 1 chips n mushy peas. Over £19 ! Nearly fell over. Looked at price list £8 for a fish £2.30 for chips if I remember £1.10 for peas. However getting them home, 2 large fresh cooked fish flaky and really good more than generous portion of chips. Really nice but in my opinion a bit on the expensive side. But did see you could get small fish n chips for £7.75. Would use again as improvement on 2 other local chip shops which are not as good as they used to be.

The chips are always cooked properly, nice and golden brown on the outside and soft in the middle.
Fish is meaty and tastes like it was caught this morning.
Prices are low relative to other takeaways in the area, particularly when you take into account that mine was delivered to my house as well.
Delivery always seems consistent. Never waited more than 20 minutes and the food is hot on arrival. Although, Deliveroo handle this.

Visited York from out of town. Was looking for some vegetarian food. Rang this chippy to enquire about it and the staff kindly offered to cook our food in a separate oil. That was really kind of them, whether they do it for everyone or not.
Great fish and chips. Son had fish, chips, sausage. I had fish butty. Great to see a bread bun made for a fish.

Came in on Friday to try fish and chips for the first time, staff was really helpful guided me through the order to my satisfaction. Delicious stuff, would be coming again soon.
Nipped in on the way past for some lunch mainly because they were the only chippy open.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had, and they were gluten free! Thank you for cooking them especially for us even though it was nearly closing time.
Fish & chips cooked perfectly. Great portion size. Toni served us in the restaurant area & was very attentive throughout. Cracking pot of tea with refills of hot water. Without doubt, we will be back!
