Can't complain at all, good food, reasonable prices and polite staff. Although I took the food away on this occasion the general atmosphere is and always has been good here.
Had lovely fish and chips here on Saturday, The fish was massive which was no problem for me. I opted to eat them in as I was with my five year old. My son loved the chips and has already asked to go back next week. Fantastic.
Irresponsible customers may dump and fly tip food in the adjacent bin outside but King Fish, chips and gravy, tasted very exqusité, there has also been less products from King Fish in the adjacent bin, however because of the taste, it has effected residents in the local areas nearby communual bins.
Visited for the first time this week. Lovely fish and chips not the usual grease filled fish. Nice to sit in and be served by the very friendly staff! Will definitely come back.
Great fish and chips good size portion, fish is gorgeous and my children ate it all. You can sit in and your not rushed out, served by friendly staff and new owner .well worth the stars and recommended.
Probably the freshest fish we have ever tasted, chips are fresh cut not frozen, Huge portions and the staff are friendly especially with the kids. We are lucky to have this chippy close to us.

Great food great service and for me the best fish and chips I have ever eaten in the York area.. detour to Acomb and visit this little hidden gem you won’t be disappointed..and like us look forward to eating there again soon
Great food, excellent customer service, especially the two lady's that were on tonight both very helpful and very friendly. I would recommend anyone try the curry sauce. Thanks guys

The portions are very generous, and the batter on the fish, it just melts in your mouth. I must indulge at least once a month. Superb !
