Went to harvester this morning for breakfast service was perfect, staff were polite and very helpful and the chefs were constantly filling up the breakfast bar (the one with the bald head) and were happy to heat up our pancakes
Had a family meal yesterday as a treat and the food and service were fab never eaten so much will certainly visit again
Each time my family and I have been, the service has always been good, staff were always polite and helpful. The food has always been lovely and plenty of choice at the salad bar. It ìs one of my favourite places to eat in York.
I brought some residents here for lunch. The staff we re so friendly and helpful and helping us find a table appropriate for a wheelchair with enough room for us to move around, got use cutlery that weren't out, got us dustpan and brushes when we requested.
The food was nice and good value.
Fab breakfast. All food cooked to perfection. Very attentive staff :) I highly recommend

The location of the restaurant is good with plenty of parking available
The restaurant is well decorated and toilet facilities is good
The staff are friendly and welcoming
The food is average for me but my husband enjoys the rump steak and ribs meal
I ordered the half rotisserie chicken which is their best seller only after 15mins the staff came back and say they are out of rotisserie chicken and I have to choose my main again .... then I opted for the chicken stack meal, but wheb the food came i find the breast meat is dry and overcooked so I sent it back and ordered the burger meal instead, it was just average as its covered with BBQ sauce can't taste the flavour of the beef. The bun is bit doughy for me.
The staff is apologetic about it so I am ok 👌🏼
Salad bar need topping up and tidying during our visit but didn't see any staff bother to check it
The dessert was prepared well and nice
Overall its a good experience for us with this Harvester branch but definitely loads of room for improvements
Had a great meal out today for lunch. After 2.5 hours in the car, it was nice to be welcomed by such friendly people. Well looked after by the lovely staff. The kids were even given activity packs without me having to ask. They loved them. Thank you for a tasty, stress free lunch.

Lovely clean atmosphere
I used to avoid Harvester like the plague as I just remembered them as really terrible food growing up, but as they've matured so has their food. The portions are always big, however the salad bar which is usually pretty good was practically empty this visit. They seemed short staffed so it took a while for someone to take our order, but food came fairly quickly once ordered. Nice little buzz in the restaurant as it was busy. Salad and bread rolls included Witt your meal, and they are always happy to swap chips out for other options like a jacket potato. Staff were very friendly. The spiked maple sauce is AMAZING.
We came to this harvester for dinner and had the best service from Kai. He was warm and welcoming and made our evening, a big thanks to him please. Food was great, the harvester was clean and just very nice. So nice we returned for breakfast, we were staying in York for the railway museum but chose to drive a little further to get there. Amy, our breakfast server was also warm and welcoming and we thank her very much for another great meal and service. I've been to a few harvesters and this was by far the nicest , thank you ❤️
We had a large group booked in and the staff were brilliant! From start to finish they organised everything from the seating arrangements to splitting the bill - nothing was too much trouble. It made for a completely stress free meal. The food was great but it was the staff who really made our visit. Would more than happily eat there again and have to say the staff are a real asset to the place. Better than many places we’ve been to across York!
Our server, (on the receipt the name says Finlay), they were amazing! Very patient and funny. Interactive with our children and dealt with every request we had. Something went a bit squiffy with the bill and he sorted it with no problems and even comp’d some of our drinks due to wait time. They are honestly a great addition to the restaurant! Thank you for making our family trip out a positive experience, even though our kids were somewhat stressful!
Had such a fantastic experience at Harvester. The staff, specifically our waitress Beth could not do enough for us and tended to our every need. The food was great value for money and the BBQ Chicken Stack really stood out. Would come again anytime!
