Got food at the cafe and it was pretty good. Fish and chips were a good portion and enjoyed it thoroughly. Tables were cleaned when we reached one however the toilets always have a massive queue and are on the top floor at the back but overall a big shop where it looked very appealing

Came to the M&S cafe for lunch whilst on holiday. I wasn't sure at first as I thought it wouldn't be as nice as a tea shop or cafe but we really enjoyed it! Excellent selection of gluten free food, delicious hot dishes and good options for small children too, and plenty of seating. Cannot fault this place, it was great!

Excellent department store set out in typical M&S style of course. Free customer toilets and a popular cafe. Staff are always attentive and polite. The toiletries area is very good and they sell some really good quality clothes. Always pop in here when in the City.

This was my favorite place to shop when i lived in York, it was huge with a decently sized food hall (and super yummy fresh bread!!). But by far my fav was the clothing section, there is a whole floor for jeans alone! no kidding that's how big it is. Lots of choices and a great size selection they also carry makeup which a lot of mark and spencers do not.

Excellent food hall. A really good choice of delicatessen meats. The cheese section was also very good. There are plenty of self-service tills available. The tall, young English lad who helped me with an issue on the till was great.

The employee who dances in the front is very friendly. It's expensive, but some things here are really good. I recommend the extremely chocolatey sponge roll.

GF Food hall have great selections of fresh produce, ready meals and drinks with good varieties for groceries as well! Fashions and others are spread for few floors. Cafe on top floors is closed due to pandemic. One way flow from entrance and exit thru another door with a ramp! Some staff are friendly and ready with a smile.

Very interesting shop in the heart of York, It has a lot to choose from when it comes to "ready meals" and "lunch to go" options, which make sense looking at the shop's location. Absolutely impressive the new range of vegan products that are all easily recognisable as they are labelled "the plant kitchen". The prices are slightly above average, but this is not as surprise because its central position. Deserves a visit.

Always enjoy a wander around the Food Hall! Accessibility - good, electronic front doors, wide aisles. Didn't check loo's! Car Parking - M&S is in a Pedestrian area, Car Parking in the Market Square (not on Market Days) and various Pay and Display. Staff - very friendly and helpful
