Ordered a big meal for six people.
We tried to do it through their website which we would have preferred so they got more money from our order but it says they can now accept any orders over £100? So we had to go to Deliveroo.
Everything arrived really fresh, what was meant to be cold was cold and the hot food arrived hot. Really delicious.
My only complaint is that the meat/fish sushi was put with the asparagus sushi. The asparagus sushi also had a some salmon stuck to the bottom of it which isn't good when you are vegetarian, this then made us wonder how much cross contamination there was.
We are a couple visiting from London and can, hands down, say that this is the best sushi we have had. Better sushi than the high end places in London, knocks spots off of Ivy Asia. A must visit. All of the staff were great too, 5 stars for the whole visit. Will visit again if in York!
Portions are quite large, so go in with a empty stomach, prices are quite high but with portions as large as they are, it balances out quite well.
The fried food was tasty but not oily, which is best, the curry was a tad spicier than you'd expect from a Japanese curry and it had a bit too much rice versus how much curry sauce there was, overall it was a good curry though.
The service is fast, the staff are super friendly and very very helpful, allergies were checked at ordering and there is signage all over, the food comes out quickly and at what pace you receive dishes is upto you, such as, sushi as a starter and others as main etc
Would recommend to someone that has had very little Japanese food or wants to try new things, a few dish inconsistencies in terms of what it is on the menu versus what it's supposed to be but that's to nitpicking
Been a few times. Would recommend trying the salmon and avocado roll with scallop on top at £17. The special rolls are a bit more compared to the classics but they come a bit bigger, if you are in to try something different.
The tea is very good and you can request a top up at no extra cost.
The staff is very friendly. I’d recommend coming early before it gets busy if you don’t want to wait too long for your food.
Loved the food. My two teenagers love Japanese food and we went there on my son's recommendation. We loved it.

Wandered in here by accident, we were looking for a quick meal before a show and we were served fast by friendly staff, the food was delicious (as was the bubble tea) and the vibe was really nice. Great veggie options and extremely reasonable prices. Would come back if in York again!
Great place. Nice atmosphere, with friendly staff. Other than delicious warm starters I've always stuck to the sushi, though the hot plates seem tempting. Had the sushi first time around and couldn't resist having it every time since. Huge variety, delicious, favourite restaurant in york

I absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious, freshly prepared and really tasty. The service was great, good quality/price and nice atmosphere. I totally recommend it!
