Toby Carvery Hopgrove - York - Photo album

Toby Inns naturally are geared up for carvery and if that's what you like then this is the place for you. If you want something a bit lighter the choices are somewhat limited. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff and we had to wait at times but the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. I
First time to a Toby Carvery in many years. Turning up late on a Thursday night, I have to admit that my expectations weren't high. However, it was a 10/10 experience and I shall definitely be back. The Carvery was hot and delicious. Yorkshire's were the best I've ever had and whilst I was expecting
Myself and a friend found this restaurant while travelling from monk's Cross. I have lactose intolerance and sometimes find it difficult finding something on a menu im able to eat. The staff were extremely helpful ensuring I had everything they prepared my mash without butter or milk. The meats were
Excellent experience at the restaurant. The welcome from the host who seated us was excellent. The food served was very good. The options were very well explained. The customer service from our server Hannah, was outstanding. This team member needs to be recognised for the fantastic service offered
Our roast dinner was absolutely delicious. Thank you to Emily who served us for making sure we had a good time. Well worth visiting for a delicious carvery.
Food was good, new veg had come out just as we got to the carvery and was lovely and hot only small issue was the cauliflower and parsnips were slightly hard but overall lovely. Just a mention to the team though everyone from greeting to the chefs behind the carvery were smiley and polite despite it
On the way to flamingo land with a couple of friends and our kids, Booked at 8:15 for 9am for breakfast, 14 people on our booking, seated in a private room where the kids could be themselves, cheap, very polite staff and a fantastic experience. Would definitely go again. Food was also great, seen a
Its a decent carvery, the food was pretty tasty and filling. The sides were plentiful and varied including some nice Christmas options. We were there towards the end of the usual lunch period (eating at 1.20pm) and that was evident in a lack of gravy (veggie was a good substitute though) and the mea
It's all down to timing at Toby. Sometimes it's a hit sometimes a miss. Got lucky and was all hot and great portion of meat.
Last minute decision to visit so didn't book at York as never been to this venue before. Arrived 13:30 had given a table immediately by friendly helpful staff. We both had the carvery and the meat was excellent. Great value.
Laid out like every other Today Carvery which is a good thing. The staff didn't mind us parking with a trailer on and then taking over a whole part of the place with eleven people. There was a shortage of staff with it being a bank holiday Monday but they worked very hard to make sure our wait time
Elise was a delight! I came in yesterday and was seated near the carvery deck although it was very busy I still had a wonderful meal with top class service. I would definitely recommend.
Pre booked. (Tried to book the previous evening but no availability had arrived at the Holiday Inn Express 19:00). Seated quickly, friendly staff. Was a little slow at the carvery deck, that was because the carver had to keep going back to get more Yorkshire Puddings 4-6 at a time. Food good as alwa
Food was fab all hot and tasty they even accommodated my elderly friend with a smaller plate. The only thing I would say is that my elderly friend struggled with her yorkshire pudding. And we both wish there had been lamb.
