Visited yesterday with my other half.. had a sharing platter & the huge pornstar martini with the bottle of prosecco. Staff very helpful..beautiful drink and great food! We will be back! �

I went to the bar on the 13th November. Party of 9. We enjoyed both food and drinks. Waitress (Jess) was friendly and served good cocktails and drinks. The food servers were also friendly, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
Went here last night for the burger and chips meal deal really nice and the staff were friendly and good humoured

Our waiter Finn was absolutely incredible, attentive, charismatic & just a fab waiter. He looked after my mums table as it was her surprise 50th with ease. He dealt with allergies & dietary requirements amazingly. Drinks were amazing, food was fab. If you need a table in York this is the place to go. Get Finn to be your waiter. Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to my mums table she had the best time. We cannot wait to get back. We all travelled from different parts of the country to be there and it was just superb! Thank you x
Me and my boyfriend booked a bottomless brunch on Saturday and it was very good. We had endless drinks with staff being friendly and helpful. Excellent service from Finn who made the experience fantastic. Although the music was very loud we had no complaints. Definitely recommend 👍🏻
Finn was an amazing server. Friendly and helpful, advising to get the best drink selections. He came over frequently to check if we had enough drinks for bottomless brunch, and recommended a certain gin & tonic. His service was great and so friendly, and he advised us well on getting the tastiest drinks. We genuinely would love to come from Newcastle to come in again if he serves us.

Popped into the Slug & Lettuce Swinegate for a brunch we booked and was not disappointed. Our server Katy provided excellent service, the food options were very good & the drinks selection available as part of the brunch was varied. For the price we paid, well worth the money and the atmosphere was spot on with contemporary music playing throughout our visit (e.g. Chris Brown & Beyonce)
For a Monday we really enjoyed this, it didn’t matter that it wasn't busy. Leera was our server and she was so attentive and brought our drinks and even asked us if we wanted more drinks before we had finished. The round brought out just before paying was amazing and a good value for money. I would definitely recommend as we felt very accommodated.
Bottomless brunch was amazing and our sever luke was fantastic. He gave us a free shot when he heard I had a promotion at work. He was brilliant and needs a pay rise. Over all good experience and I've been here several times and will be back again 🙂 xx
We celebrated our 50th birthdays this weekend and certainly had the VIP treatment from the staff. Special mention for Caitlin from my old neck of the woods, Liv and Finn who looked after us and kept us flowing with gorgeous drinks. Food was amazing too and such good value for money! Made our special day extra special and they’re a credit to the Slug and Lettuce brand!!
We popped in for a light bite and to get out of the rain. The name Slug and Lettuce made us want to try it. We ordered the 3 starters for 19.50. Big enough to share or a meal for someone hungry. We ordered the cod goujons, Sheezy (yes I spelled it right) mushrooms, and antipasti. You find your own table, then when ready to order, go to the bar area. The staff was friendly and followed up to make sure all was right. Decor was fun and unique colors. Classy feel overall.
Yesterday my husband and I was waited on by Fin in York.
We could not complain once. He made our whole time we was there for our Bottomless Brunch perfect.
Topping up our glasses all the time, taking our drinks orders, food was fantastic. We'll worth the money believe me. We will be back again for sure. Thank you 😁🍾🍸🥂

I visited with my son in law and grandson on a Saturday. Quiet busy with loads of hen parts and party groups. Mainly females . The pub is aimed at lady's from the decor , cocktails and food menus. . Nicely done but bright and in your face with pink . Food was nice but everything was posh or spiced with chilli or some sort of dressing . All the stuff I don't eat . Even the plainish BBQ chicken thing was a salad ... Well a pile of rocket ... So not really a salad . Rocket means peppery so again no good for me. Ok for the girly get together but my grandson found it too screechy with squeeling excited women.
Not only was the food amazing but we were looked after by Caitlin and Fin whose customer service and attention were second to none. Easily the best slug and Lettuce that I have been to. Caitlin looked after us all night and made sure that our drinks were always full and that we had a good night. Thank you Caitlin and Fin
We did the cocktail making session with LUKE. What can I say he was fantastic, we had such a good laugh. We’ve done cocktail making before but Luke made it different by making us play a game while doing one of the drinks. Some great memories made and a great cocktail class. Highly recommend especially if Luke is delivering it.
Attended here for a bottomless brunch for a friends 30th birthday. Having never attended a bottomless brunch before, I was sceptical about whether the service would be lax re: drinks: couldn’t have been more wrong.
The food (buttermilk chicken burger) was delicious and juicy, and our server Alicia was amazing. She was so attentive and the drinks were really free flowing. Nothing was too much to ask and she really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to make the day perfect. Really fun banter too which added to the whole atmosphere 🙂
Highly recommend for similar functions and would have no hesitation in returning in future.

Today we had Fin and Caitlin for our bottomless brunch and they were fabulous and great service. Drinks were flowing food was lovely. Would definitely go again
This was a lovely bar to visit, with a stylish design contributed to by the flashy lights and greenery! The bar is well-presented and the Christmas tree made a sweet addition; the staff were friendly, even filling up my water bottle when I had a sore throat. I enjoyed a refreshing strawberry cocktail, relaxing at comfortable seating on a clean table and having good views!
Booked a bottomless brunch at probably the busiest time of year and was worried that we wouldn’t get served enough. However, our server freya was amazing so nice and friendly. We got to order our next rounds of drinks straight after we were finished our last one. We got constant service and the vibes in the evening were amazing.
When you're a legend, you go on a Monday night! It's not their fault that the atmosphere wasn't 'banging'! You know what you get with S&L and it didn't disappoint!
