Came with my partner as a last minute meal everything was brilliant, the food was exquisite, staff as amazing especially our server Alix, atmosphere was brilliant. Overall would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back here again
Zizzi's in York was very welcoming, taken to a table on entering and given menus. The decor and layout was pretty spot on. We chose to go for the 3 course deal for £23.95 each. I had a calamari starter and my wife had garlic bread, both very tasty and good portions. For the main I had carbonara with Parma ham and Chorizo, my wife had stick pig pizza, very filling and also delicious. To finish off I we had a lemon cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake. We were both stuffed and satisfied. It was not overly busy on our visit, so not sure how they do during peak hours, the toilets were quite far and a bit dingy but there were disabled toilets much closer if needed. Overall glad we visited, and will be happy to go again.
This was a fantastic restaurant for dining, where me and my friend were seated immediately in the stylish area! We had pasta crisps for free, seating is comfortable and menus are given to visitors right away. I had delicious Spaghetti Bolognese with a refreshing pint of Coke, served in due time! The staff were very nice and I could use my £15 voucher with a 2 for 1 offer, accounting for our entire bill.
Last minute booking using the trusty Clubcard vouchers... lovely food and great service. Clean and tidy, not too busy when we called in. Would definitely recommend

Visited here with my husband at the end of our stay in York.
We were seated and our orders were taken fairly quickly. The menu had plenty of options for both food and drinks.
As with the service our food and drinks also arrived quickly too. We both had the arancini to start and a pasta dish for main. The arancini was tasty and the honey sauce it came with was a lovely addition. I had the goats cheese ravioli with pesto and it tasted really fresh and was very filling too.
After we'd eaten we decided to have another drink and before we could even use the online ordering a waitress came over to check on us and took our order.
Nothing at all to complain about, would definitely visit again!

Couldn’t make me a Bellini as it would mess up the stock.
Garlic bread was lacking cheese and onion topping.
Pasta main course was perfect
Pudding was also perfect.
Not enough staff working for a Sunday this close to Christmas it was heaving they were clearly rushed off there feet and lots of customers were turned away.
The only reason I didn't put 5 stars for atmosphere is because we were put on a table right next to the accessible toilet which everybody was using because the other toilets were not available. This meant every time the door was opened ( which was regularly) we got a strong whiff. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent.

We arrived at 12.30, being a party of 11. We were seated upstairs which was a little difficult as one of us had a 5 month old in a pram. We managed however and the young lady who served us could not be more helpful. She was a diamond. The food arrived more or less all together and was generally very good. The risotto was a little stodgy but very nicely seasoned. The atmosphere was slightly lacking but given the time of our arrival was probably understandable. Generally this was a good visit and I would go again after this experience. The toilets were really clean by the way as was the entire place.
I think this place is profiling for bigger groups, like 4+ people. Regardless we were properly served and food was fantastic. I recommend plum crumble for a dessert - both my partner and me think it was the best dish that day.

Really enjoyed our meal and the gluten free pizza was excellent. India was very helpful regarding the gluten free options. The still lemonade as mentioned by a previous reviewer is brilliant and very refreshing.

Went for an evening meal and have no complaints. Service was brilliant, staff were very nice. Service was also incredibly fast with food hot and tasting fresh. The building is nice and atmosphere was pleasant. I don't tend to visit Italians much personally but had a lovely experience here.
