Ment to do this review a few weeks ago .. called in on my way home just before closing on a sunday evening and was greeted by your friendly staff think her name was Toni and her colleague not sure of his name but he was doing the frying .. my order was freshly made even though it was really close to closing ... the food was blooming lovely and portion size is spot on!!! so if your passing by i would recommend calling in!!!!
Just had a lovely lunch at the hull road shop very friendly staff and reasonable prices give it a try you won’t be disappointed
Went last night and had a fantastic chippy tea was snowing and freezing outside and the staff turned there heater around to warm me up thank you for a lovely meal I love on the Wirral but will always go this chippy when back in York lovely staff who made us so welcome last night and fantastic food 11/10 for me well done

Went there this evening and the food was excellent as were the staff such a friendly greeting 5* service from start to finish!! You should be proud to have staff like them
Fabulous fish and chip place! Used to go here years ago when I lived in York and revisited it on Friday! Never lets me down! And the lady who served us was so friendly. Can’t remember the name but she used to work there years ago and is now back! Keep it up! Will visit again next year!

Brilliant fish and chips. I cannot wait until the next time I come here to get some more. Excellent batter. I took my mum here last year after coming back from visting relatives in Italy. And she said it was the best fish and chips she has ever tasted.

Me and my partner have just moved to the area, and it's such a relief to have a tasty local fish and chip shop! The quality of the chips really shines through, and the staff are super friendly. Plus the prices are very reasonable considering the flavour, quality of the ingredients, and the generous portion sizes!
Great fish and chips. Staff are friendly and helpful. I was recommended the spicy curry sauce with my cod and chips, and it was a great call. A small gripe was that I could not see a significant difference in size between the large and small cod, so would order 2 small next time.
Went to Blue Fin on Tadcaster Road yesterday & such a good experience! They couldn’t have been more helpful - one of our party had a gluten intolerance & they went over and above to help. Also really great fish 🐠 & chips - huge portions! Thanks so much
Really great fish and chips and they do Gluten Free as well which is always a bonus (just ting ahead as they take 30mins). Really big portions and their Tartar sauce is home made and out of this world!

Fantastic place to taste a typical fish and chips. We went because it is recommended to be one of the best in the UK, and it's well worth it the place. The food is delicious. One desire that I love from the dish is that is not oily as many fish and chips. Also, the ration is fair enough. Furthermore, there is not much queue to do and the service is extremely professional and quickly.

Always cook to order so everything is fresh,although on a Friday I'm sure they could reduce the queue by having fish and chips ready cooked. Good portions and tasty fish and chips although gravy was a bit gloopy.
