Shared lovely tea and scones with a friend here last week. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere warm with a background of lovely conversations going on. Was able to have a gluten free fruit scone which was wonderful and my friend enjoyed a cheese one. Thank you for having a glute
Whilst calling in, unplanned, we found this little gem to have a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Friendly, accommodating staff & Amazing food and treats. The portions are very generous and well worth the price.
We came in for lunch a few weeks ago having seen recommendations from Facebook. A friend and I had the ‘Tea on the Green’ (£8.95) which consisted of a sandwich (any choice), salad, crisps and scone (any choice) with jam and clotted cream. It was delicious! We saw a notice about their tapas evenings

Delicious!!
Card machine wasn't working when we were there so was cash only. (Good for our pocket and our waist line though 😀 )
A friend and I, plus my two terriers, dropped in for an impromptu brunch: a sausage sandwich and a veggie roll (mushrooms, egg, tomato and a hash brown).
The food was lovely, the coffee was good, the service was just fine. Would definitely recommend, worth booking in advance 'though as the cafe was

Delicious! Great quality, tasty & fresh food. We came back a second time after having the best quiche ever (got a piece to takeaway this time). Lovely friendly and welcoming ladies that run the place. We will be back again soon.
Was recommended Tea on the Green for an evening buffet for up to 60 people.
Food was amazing and plentiful with fantastic range of fresh sandwiches, pies, pastries and a platter of Indian mini snacks.
Would highly recommend and definitely use again next time we need a really good buffet spread at a
Across the road from a small park in Acomb in York. There are outside tables and parking nearby. Staff were friendly and professional. Menu was simple and basic. This is a cafe, not a restaurant. I ordered a bacon roll, It came quickly, was perfectly cooked and very nice indeed. York isn't short of
Perfect afternoon tea as ever & the best scones I've ever tasted. Thanks 💗
A quaint little café.
Food was top notch and the staff super awesome. Very welcoming.
We had the most wonderful couple of hours here with family to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. The food was delicious and the attention we received was exceptional. Debbie catered for everyone including the children present and a guest with a dairy intolerance. I can’t recommend this venue highly
