Sunday lunch was lovely and the portions sizes were large, no wonder they have a smaller adult portion size on the menu. Great value for money and the staff are all friendly.
We called in heading back to our lodge the staff were very friendly and it was really cheap too the quality of the food was gorgeous and you got plenty of food for your money would definitely visit again

Staff are so friendly and the food is great, had Sunday lunch which was all freshly prepared, no frozen rubbish. We also had steak and scampi which were equally great..great value for money.. would highly recommend this hidden gem if you want great food..

Great food especially their Steak & Ale Pie. It's a proper pie not your pie in a dish with puff pastry top but a nice slice of pie with chunks of meat and good pastry served with either chips & peas or veg and a separate serving of gravy. It has an extensive menu an offers.
Go here every time we visit York. Brilliant food staff are welcoming quick service hubby always has Liver and onions been so many times staff know what he's going to order as soon as he walks through the door. Would highly recommend for pub food.
Good value, not mass produced food. I visited in December, they were busy and I am not surprised. The price is great, food is good... A winning combination really... Just a shame about it's a location.

Passing through and stopped for tea before heading home to North Wales. Very impressed, cheap prices and good food and portions. Two mains for 9.95. Can't go wrong.
