Small bakery with traditional pastries. We ate puff pastry stuffed with meat and potatoes. Very delicious! Only minus is that they have small amonut of tables, 4 on the terrace and 2 or 3 inside.

Very friendly staff, Kate was cheerful and patient with us as we picked out our pastries. She is hardworking, working alone in the early morning preparing these delicious food. It was so good we were here every morning for breakfast. We loved the pasties, pastelles, chocolate torsadas, and many others that we tried during our time here in York.

Not crowded, they have seats in and outdoor. Staff was friendly. They have few choices of bread and pastries but I definitely had to try the cornish pasty and it was amazing. Price were decent. Though some tables were a bit dirty, maybe they were busy.

A must when visiting York! The staff is so friendly and the pasties are to die for. Absolutely lovely. I wasn’t feeling like a savory dish so I had the Cornish pudding. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming here every morning since early November for my coffee. I cannot stress enough how welcoming all the staff are. I love our little chats. The coffee is incredible and love their loyalty card too. You must try their Cornish pudding, it’s to die for!!!! Service is so quick too as they are card payments only so transactions are so convenient. Love this place

Loved their croissants and the lemon and blueberry custard danish. They also had samples of their pastel de nata, it was good. The coffee was delicious too.

Pasties are amazing! The steak and stilton is easily the best I've had - way better than those I've tried in Cornwall. Strong Stilton flavour throughout. First class!

Great experience at this bakery had a lovely lunch and was well priced. The day we went it was dry but cold so not many out on the outside seating but bet it would be great on a sunny day. Food was tasty and we did not wait long to be served and get out lunch. No parking at the place as it is town centre but disabled access is great at this place.

Beautiful fresh food! I highly recommend the pasties and homemade fruit scones! The que was worth the wait! Staff was friendly and the shop was clean. Few tables inside and out. Only down side is that there aren't any toilets inside.

Excellent service from Sarah this morning, asked for recommendations as there was lots to choose from and the bacon, leek and cheese pasty was delicious.

'Lena' and 'Kate' are always very friendly and polite, they go out of their way to be helpful which I feel should be highlighted to the area manager - the fruit scones and cheese scones are delicious (just like homemade). Would highly recommend.

Delicious and lovely! came back the next morning again because it was literally the BEST Latte on our entire trip, and the the Cornish pastries, hot out of the oven, perfect and unique from steak, to an Indian spiced vegan option. Raspberry and white chocolate muffins disappeared along with the fluffy croissants! We kept ordering different items......Just a few steps off the Shambles, it's a must stop for fulfilling local fare. We met the most charming Manager, and her young staff who were so attentive to their craft, and customers. Been traveling for 2 weeks, and we thank you for such a heart warming memory of York.
