Panda Mami is the choice we chose to eat during our dinners at York. The reason for this was because one if you have children and they are quite fussy with what they want to eat this is an awesome choice because it is literally and All You Can Eat Buffet (AYCE)!! I've been to quite a bit of AYCE buffets in the USA but to me this place blew it out of the water!! The variety, choices, different cultures in here was seriously amazing and beautiful. I felt like a harmonious place could be eaten here with many different types of races and cultures. I took over 20 photos of what the inside and what I picked for myself and also what some of the kids had as their meals. Overall they were soo soo excited and happy that they got to eat here and were able to pick and choose what they wanted! For the price, experience and less headache for the adults this by far was one of the best choices we made during our UK trip!

We had booked a stay in York several months ago. A friend had researched places to eat in York for our Christmas present and came across Panda Mami. I believe we all can be a little dubious in trying out new places to eat, but we were not disappointed! We had a table booked for 7 pm but arrived shortly before. Upon entering, we entered into a lovely and well presented entrance. We instantly felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere and were greeted by a friendly young man who showed us to our table. The gentleman explained everything and told us that all cocktails were 2 for 1 before 7 pm at £9.50 (so pleased we arrived earlier than planned) I do not think I'd have bought a cocktail at full price to be honest, but they were colourful and tasted amazing 😀 There was a variety of food, including Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, and English, including various cooking stations. There was also a selection of sweet treats, which was also plentiful. The staff remained busy throughout, keeping everything clean. There was a lovely atmosphere alongside a variety of people of all ages, and everyone seemed happy with their food. You MUST visit, you will not be disappointed 😊 Prices vary on different nights. The prices were £23.99 per person on the Saturday we visited, and I did notice a height chart for children. If they were under the line, I think they ate for free or half price, but I'm not totally sure, to be honest, so it's worth checking.

Good variety of Buffet food, though choose carefully! The dim sum was cold, no soup and the Indian food is so-so. However the barbecue, the teppanyaki, Chinese food including the aromatic duck was very good. I didn’t try the others, already was full. At the price £23.99 + £0.70 ( not sure what this surcharge was for) I would say is fair value. Would recommend.

Lovely place to take your kids. The staff are so polite and patient, especially when my granddaughter decided to mush up her food and spread it everywhere! Can't fault the place at all...ohh and the food was lovely too. 2 for 1 cocktails before 7pm was great too. As it was my 50th a lovely member of staff even took time out of her busy schedule to take some pictures for me...Thankyou so much for a lovely birthday 🎂 (sorry about the mess)

We went on a weekday lunch it was 13.99. weekends it's 24.99 which I think is too much even though they have a larger variety at weekends. Weekday lunch is value for money

I had a really good experience here on a quiet Monday evening. I was welcomed by, the very friendly, Felix who proceeded to talk me through the food stations and what was available. He then showed me to my requested quiet table and took my drinks order. This was an exceptionally quiet restaurant due to to the time of year. However, the first thing I noticed was the freshness of food on offer, the good temperature at each station and how all the staff were keeping themselves busy cleaning down and restocking as needed whilst they had the time. By the time I returned to my table with my first round my drink was waiting. Felix checked in on me a few times throughout my evening without being over baring I understand people's reviews are based on their own opinions, but I do think some people need to shake their heads when dining at buffet restaurants. The food can't be stored too warm as it would continue to cook. It is impossible in busy times to keep more popular stations fully stocked without compromising the less busy ones. I certainly know I couldn't have got the same amount, and quality of food, for anywhere near what I paid for my evening plus drinks. Ultimately if you want fine dining then don't eat at buffet restaurants. For me I got far better than I expected and indeed paid for. Well done Felix and the team, you'll know my reasons, and I left extremely full and happy, Alister

Great location with a stunning view in the heart of York - historical town centre. Easy to find the business. The staff attitude is 5 stars from the welcome to the good bye.. Really rare (I have lots of experiences nation-/ worldwide in this dining option) the staff so caring, helpful, polite and patient! The restaurant is VERY clean, well organised. Wide variety of different food from Chinese, Japanese and Indian to European cuisine. Also plenty of different alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. Value for money... Personally I think this place is more expensive than the average I've ever been. On a Saturday lunch £55 for 2 person (with 1 Coke each). It is pricey! For a family with kids can cost of a fortune.. Food: quality (look or presentation) is 5 stars.. But (!) most of the food was just above room temperature - defenetaly not hot. Quite disappointing the meal is not hot enough (especially meat and pasta). I'd visit this place again, and I recommend it to visit if life takes you to York! I had a one single time experience so can't judge.

Came here for my friend's birthday last night. They made him feel really special and even did him a slice of cake with a candle in and sang happy birthday to him as a surprise. The food was really nice and there was plenty to choose from! The location is also clean and modern. The service here is above & beyond. I'd like to say a special thank you to the lady in the suit who helped us with everything yesterday. We will all definitely be returning!

Excellent service, atmosphere and variety Second time we visited and loved the food Manager couldn’t do enough to help. Surprised us with a birthday cake on this visit which was excellent. More expensive in the evening but much more variety.

Wow the food was to die for. We've never been before and came for our anniversary. We did book but may not have needed due to us going at 8am. We had the all you can eat and we definitely did just that. But we were so stuffed we needed to walk it off. All of the food we ate was gorgeous. Highly recommend and will come again.

Really enjoyed this experience, from start to finish. The food was excellent, always topped up and tasted exceptional. Staff were excellent, well manored, and happy to help with any reasonable requests you have. Would definitely recommend pandamami if you're in the area.
