We booked a table for 6 people (3 couples) for pre dinner drinks on New Years Eve. The moment you walk through the door you can feel the quality and ambience.
We were seated by a lovely woodburning fire in a historic area. The service was exceptional.

The service is exceptional in this small boutique hotel. Location is perfect and the atmosphere is relaxing. It’s also such an interesting building and history. We would definitely stay again, worth every penny!
There is one word for Gray's Court, exquisite.
If you want an authentic, beautifully presented luxury place to stay then look no further.
Its rare to have the ability to stay somewhere rich in history, it's like booking a night at a national trust location!

Gorgeous historic building. Loved our Edwards room. Perfect location. Great breakfast service. Something simple on the menu for late evenings would be a good add. Wish we could have taken better advantage of the all-night bar! Extremely courteous staff!

I am very disappointed to see the article in the Press about the hotel! We have stayed here a few times and always top class service and atmosphere. We will again be getting booked in there later in the year
My friend and I had popped down from the city walls into the gardens of the hotel, very quickly we were met by a lovely young lady who introduced herself and took our orders. Our one night stay here was very enjoyable. The hotel is in a fabulous location meaning it's only a short walk into the centre. One of my main concerns when looking for hotels in York was parking. Grays Court has a number of spaces and what looked like an overflow through some gates when it was full
Lovely place with a huge back yard and gorgeous garden! Found this place by walking around the walls and just couldn't resist the photo opportunities! Typical English food but the drinks are refreshing! Definitely a place to sat by and relax in this British summer afternoon 🥰
