Just reopened. We are new locals so popped in for a drink. Menu looks good but we didn't have time to eat. Pizzas Mon and Tues, Sunday lunches anf good pub grub at other times. Brucie bonus was that we could take the dog inside, it is super dog friendly and there was even a jar of treats on the bar

First time here - visiting from Cheshire and staying with friends nearby. New manager and staff really welcoming and friendly. New menu all cooked from scratch, not bought in or frozen. I had the southern fried chicken burger followed by the apple and raspberry crumble with custard - highly recommen

Dog and kid friendly local in a pretty part of York, close to the University campus. Love the staff and the food, especially the sunday roast! Coming back to try the weekday menu soon.
