The Cross Keys - York - Photo album

Had lunch here on a day out to the York Christmas Market. A traditional Victorian pub in a busy central location, it's really handy for the Minster and only a couple of minutes walk from Monk Bar and the city walls. The outside seating area has a great view of the Minster. Inside, there's a relaxed
Maddie served us well and found me a special 50 pence from her till. Our food was hot and delicious 😋! Highly recommend and know we would frequently visit, if we lived closer!
Really liked the pub, we both enjoyed our meals of a vegetable cottage pie and the steak and ale pie....both were very good, a nice chilled atmosphere and welcoming & friendly staff.
Had a fantastic time at The Cross Keys with a group of friends! We easily booked a table for 8 on a weekend and enjoyed watching the footy together. We started off with some duck croquettes, which were delicious and served in generous portions. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were friendly
Great pub, staff so friendly and food excellent. Can't fault them on anything
Lovely pub with great food. Cost of food fairly reasonable. Pints a bit pricey but they had a good selection.
Came and had a fantastic late lunch and the food was amazing especially the signature burger. I saw they had a fantastic range of gin that I couldn't sample due to driving home but if I was local I'd be coming more often for sure. Friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome and the decor was gre
Had a couple of drinks here. The atmosphere was lively. Was nice and warm and the lovely young lass who served us was friendly ☆
I have been visiting York with my mother for 3 days in March 2023. We have been coming to this pub every day because of the amazing food, good vibe, cool smoking area with a view on the York Minster and a very kind staff. If you are visiting York and you want to grab a drink , have a dinner or apple
Sam and Christian where absolutly fantastic.Very welcoming and chatty. When ever me and my mum visit York we always come here to dine. The food I had a change as always wanted to try the pie. Which was cooked by Gav. Steak and ale I tried this time and it didn't disappoint. The carrots where lovely.
This is a nice pub with lovely views of the minster from the window. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They made us feel very welcome. The food is nice and the burgers are well seasoned and juicy. It was a shame that on a Sunday by 13:45 that there was only 1 x roast beef
We went in on a Friday evening and for Saturday lunch and there was great service and a real buzz in the atmosphere. Food was fantastic, especially the chips. They had a good variety on tap too, with a local black sheep beer which was great! Would definitely recommend for lunch/dinner/evening drink!
good selection of beer and gins and stuff; atmosphere and christmas decorations are nice too a bit pricey but in line with everywhere else round here
Good beer selection and varied menu. We had a roast dinner and fish & chips, and they were well prepared, quick, and tasty. Very friendly staff. Atmospheric and relaxing lunch in a traditional Pub.
Nice pub. Used to go a lot about 15 years ago. On the night I visited it sadly was very empty and not much of an atmosphere. Nevertheless still a nice pub.
A lovely pub which we always call in for a drink at when paying a visit to York. It's right in the centre of the city and it has a lovely beer garden as well as cosy snugs within.
Great food and pies were delicious. Good selection of drinks, and reasonably priced. Perfect spot for a quick dinner, drink, etc.
Excellent pub, part of the Nicholson's chain, a lovely interior, with a real fire and interesting display tables. A good selection of beers here too.
