Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food and attentive staff. I ended my holiday with a meal at Sunrise and it was the best decision I could have made. Every dish was cooked to perfection and so flavoursome.
Good authentic food and good service. Good for large groups and couples. Plenty of choice on the menu and portion sizes are very good (I had eaten some before the picture was taken). Will be back and they do takeout as well.
Very welcoming and usually Chinese is never this tasty I give recommendation on the sea fish with sour vegetables and seafood soup it warmed my body in this freezing weather ❄❄☔⛈☁⛅ definitely coming back again 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
An excellent find. Truly delicious food cooked fresh. Our party of 4 (2 children) all said it was the best Chinese they have had in a long time.
Non greasy chow mein. Crispy prawn crackers, satay, sweet and sour and black bean dishes were all excellent. Highly recommended this restaurant.

Had a warm welcome from a gentleman in front of house. Ordered drinks and was given menu to order food. This was difficult to choose as there was a lot of different things to try. My partner had meat spring rolls and I had salt and pepper ribs. Oh my days they were amazing crispy pork covered in garlic which fell off the bone. Main course we chose shredded pork which was spicy, sweet and garlicky with thick noodles. We can't recall what it was called. I chose braised pork belly which was served with brocolli. Both mains were delish. We had special fried rice, a portion of fried noodles and beansprouts and a portion of curry sauce. Which were all very tasty. The gent at front of house said if we didn't finish our meal he would box it up for us to take home. Needless to say we didn't finish our food so took the boxed leftovers to eat cold for breakfast in the morning.......yummy!
This restaurant was quiet when we visited which surprises us as food was so good. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Track and trace was also being used. Alcohol gel also available.
Although our reservation had to be put back half hour, the manager kindly handled everything and we were treated to some fantastic food. We were a table of eleven and our food was delivered as it was cooked, so we had it pretty much fresh from the kitchen.
The food was great, the staff courteous and kind and made a great night out for us all.
We shall visit again!
You can easily pass it without realising even though it's right on a busy junction! Food is always excellent, portions are large, and it's much more Chinese home-style than westernised rubbish food. There are so many dishes to try that, even after so many years, several times a year, we still didn't manage to run out of what to order. From mildly steamed fish with a little ginger, delicate but heavenly aromatic, you can go all fiery to chilly oil beef - however 3 chillies are more like 5 so be careful when you order.
In spite of its average size, it is very busy during the week with hundreds of tourists, and very popular with the Chinese students - and not only! Because it is tasty tasty tasty!
Our Chinese Restaurant of choice. Never disappoints - family favourite is the Beef in Chilli Oil and the stir fried Liver. If you want to eat Chinese in York this restaurant offers the best value and the best food. Edit: Ignore the negative reviews; I think those people haven't been here. Anyone who says the food is bland clearly hasn't and the chinese coaches have been going in for lunch and dinner (that I know of) for 10 years.
Fantastic food.Always fresh.Very clean place.. Incredibly testy and different from all other Chinese restaurants in York.All Chinese excursions always dine here and all Chinese students eat here.The best Chinese restaurant in town! Pleasant staff that can create a dish to ones liking.
Doesn't look like much on the inside but the food was lovely (one of the best Chinese I've tasted)
