When I eat out somewhere new, I look for the hygiene rating and reviews.
Any food hygiene rating below an 4 gets a miss.
Any restaurant’s average rating below a 4 usually gets a miss.
The food MUST be hot and so to the plates, if they’re not, I’m unlikely
I had the chicken dopiaza what can I say the best curry I have had in York.
The food was well cooked and portions are good and the food was ready in around 15 minutes.
Waiter staff were friendly and polite they even arranged seating for a large group of people that turned up from the street.

The food is amazing, get the Lamb Imani and garlic naan, I’ve eaten here with friends many times and when I order the Imani it is always everyone’s favorite dish. Absolutely just an amazing dish!
First time here today and what can I say the food were amazing staff very polite will definitely be the only Indian I eat from from now on I had butter chicken best I had in a very long time highly recommend

Met up with family and we all had a really lovely meal. Service was fast and staff were really nice. Food excellent
Lovely place, staff very nice. Ordered Imani chicken for me and Imani lamb for my wife, lovely flavour, my only problem was it was advertised as medium hot but was quite mild. Everyone’s tastes are different. I will be back there though.
I nipped in on a busy friday night hoping that they had a table for 2.
They had a party being held but said we could have a table for 1 hour 15 minute but then the party would need it.
The service was brilliant and we got our food really fast.

We ordered chicken madras, tandoori butter chicken, mushroom pilau, plain naan and peshwari naan.
Chicken madras was perfect. I really liked it. Butter chicken was a bit too sweet, but still very nice. Mushroom rice was quite simple, compared to other places.
