The Hotham Arms is a nice traditional village pub. There is a wide range of beers, lagers, and cider on offer, including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, black sheep, and sleck dust on when I called in, both in excellent condition. It's a large but very cosy pub, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are no bar games it's more of a food pub. I haven't tried the food yet, but the menu was very tempting. There is covered outside seating to the front and the side of the pub, and it is the best I have seen at any pub. A great village local highly recommended.
Booked a table for lunch for 4 of us +dog. Lovely welcome as we got there, very cosy/comfortable charming pub, we had the Steak and Ale Pie, Scampi and Ploughman's lunch everything was very nice, I've not been to the Hotham Arms for some time but really enjoyed it, I won't leave it as long next time.
Pleasant place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon meal! Good vibes. Quirky and original feeling inside and out. Child and dog friendly. Decent outdoor area. Great food
Nice pub with great pies and eccentric decor! I had a homemade steak and ale pie which was fantastic. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was also good but not the best I have had. No online booking available so had to call but seemed to be able to accommodate late bookings.
Enjoyed our meal at the hotham arms last night. The fillet steak was the best I've ever had. We were in a group of 14 and every meal was top class . With fantastic service. Would highly recommend 😊
We love the decor and style created in the restaurant. Step back in time with subdued Tiffany lighting and an eclectic mix of antiques. Efficient, friendly staff, great choice of menu whatever your taste and delicious food. Oh, and hand pull beer, keeps my other half happy!
This was a Christmas gift from some friends, and it was a place we have not visited before, but what an hidden gem .
Service , food and atmosphere amazing.
Beautiful place and lovely food. We say outside in the sun it was gorgeous. Thanks 👍
Love this place, very cosy with an antique collectable vibe. The staff are always welcoming and the food has never failed. Some days are way busier than others, so book. The pie and pint night was great, and a proper pie, not just a dish with a crust on top. Well worth the visit.
Only had a drink this timeas we had been on a countryside walk but the food they were serving looked absolutely fantastic. There's some unique items and collections decorated in and around the pub very quirky. Friendly attentive staff. I'll be back definitely
What a delightful, cosy, slightly quirky gem!
Food was top quality the service excellent and the ambience chilled and laid back - wonderful.
A wonderful place to meet up for a relaxed meal with family and friends.
Fabulous lunch today. Lovely old pub with great atmosphere and wonderful food. Good value. High end restaurant quality at a very reasonable price. Pleasantly busy so booking recommended. Will definitely be returning. Crab crostini was just beautiful.
Fabulous menu and nothing disappointed. I only wish we had more time to spend in this wonderful place.
The Hotham Arms stands out from the crowd when it comes to pub restaurants. They offer high quality food, good value for money, and with a good range of meat and fish options. Beth, our server, and the chef were fantastic and very accomodating to our needs as vegetarians. The outdoor nooks are very cosy whilst giving you the chance to enjoy the sun. The decor is tasteful and traditional with some whacky elements, like doors for table tops outside or clowns hanging from the ceiling! My advice for them to push this to the top for me is... Be more adventurous with your vegetarian choices! Butternut squash risotto and mushroom stroganoff are the uninspiring standard I see on many vegetarian menus. We came for the very unique "veggie cakes" promised on your website and you'd taken them off your menu! (though many thanks for making them anyway!!!) Without a doubt though, would recommend for a casual meal or special occasion!!!
Whenever we go over to Hull from Sheffield to visit our son and his wife and family, we try to call and have a meal.
The very high quality food, high standard of service and ambiance of the Hotham Arms is truly 5*
Running a Motorcycle training scheme in Sheffield for over 4 decades with over 400 5* reviews I recognise the importance of providing a service that’s recognised.
Your establishment stands out for all round excellence.

Our WI had our Christmas lunch at Hotham Arms. To say we were a big party, plenty of room. Food excellent, staff very friendly and efficient, no rush to finish. Highly recommended and will definitely retun in new year
Beautifully decorated pub and restaurant. Food was lovely and the staff were polite and friendly.
