Arrived in York for our annual visit and went to bella italia for lunch. We come each year and the food never disappoints. Very friendly and attentive staff and the service was fast too. Lovely meal. We had a voucher and gift cards so our meal was very reasonable by the time the discounts came off.

We arrived at bella italia and was seated, we had pre booked and pre paid for food. The new assistant manager luke approached us and told us that villa farm who we had booked through hadn't contacted them to tell them. They gave us the choice of the menu and 3 courses when we had originally only had 2. He gave us free prosecco aswell, the customer service was outstanding. They did everything posssible to make our experience brilliant. Definitely recommend

On a busy Saturday morning in the centre of York we came upon Bella Italia.
We had no idea they are a "chain" - decor is pleasant, greeting very friendly and welcoming.
We just wanted coffee - no problem.
Window table excellent coffee- hot and flavoursome.
We opted for two more coffees and indulged in cheesecake and tiramisu- both fresh and delicious.
Dean Martin crooned in the background, busy but not hectic- a perfect place to stop and recharge.
Very good coffee when you can't face another pot of tea!!

The food was beautiful, the staff were very welcoming. Clean & the atmosphere was nice & chilled.
Celebrated two birthdays here and the staff here done a splendid job in taking care the seven of us. We had a few fussy eaters but the staff done well in listening to our needs and presenting our expectations to the fullest. The food was brilliant, I recommend going for the bruschetta as a starter. Then as for the main carbonara pizza and if your still feeling a bit peckish I’d say ice cream is the best option. Overall a great experience and I’d like to say a huge thank you to the staff here for making a joyful experience. As for it was my birthday and my friends birthday celebrated that evening.
We came here as a party of 17. Our table was booked at 7:00pm and we were seated just before. We had pre ordered our food and within 10 minutes we were eating starters. The food was absolutely delicious. Staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
This is a lovely branch of the restaurant chain, in very central location in York. While the service was faultless, some of the food could be improved; we loved the cheese pizza and fried gnocchi, but the mozzarella dough balls were soggy and the pesto pasta was lacking in flavour.

Service was prompt and very friendly! Saban was our server and he was superb - provided some great suggestions on what to have and went above and beyond to provide a stellar service.
The food was delicious and portion sizes were just right. Atmosphere was welcoming and friendly as that was down to all the staff working on the day.

This was a lovely restaurant to dine in at, having a stylish setting from the lights and ceiling leaves! The frames on the wall add to this and menus are readily provided at the tables, where me and my friends were served by warm, friendly staff. I enjoyed Spaghetti and Meatballs in garlic sauce, accompanied by a sweet glass of Coca-Cola! The service was due time for a restaurant, leather seating is top notch and cleanliness had been maintained!
My partner is celiac, so finding safe places to eat can be difficult. Bella Italia York gave us no doubt on the quality and taste of the food, as well as safety when it comes to cross contamination. Everything was identified as GF, and my partner had no reaction after the meal. Our server, Isia, was amazing. Always looking after us, making sure we weren't missing anything, always available. She went above and beyond when I asked for a mock tail version of one of their cocktails and see what could be arranged.
We pre booked for 18:30 but had finished with our day early so we were seated earlier which was great. The lady who greeted us was very understanding and super friendly. We were then looked after for the rest of the evening by a gentleman there, think his name is Jake as that's on my receipt. He was so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, it was busy and you could see how rushed off his feet he was but he was friendly and smiling and laughing with everybody who he served, he brought made it such a positive atmosphere and just wanted him to know we were very grateful. Please pass on our thanks to Jake and his team as they were all brilliant.
In addition to that, the food was to die for lovely meal and would deffinatly come again.
Went here whilst on holiday for my other half's birthday meal. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The food was phenomenal, served hot but the type of hot where you can still eat it. Our waiter was absolutely amazing and even gave us recommendations on what to go for when he realised we were struggling on deciding what to go for.

The food and drinking were fantastic, but the service was not that good. It seems they were short on people when I came, so the ladies were in a hurry and it was hard to get their attention to order.
I had the carbonara and the brownie. I forgot the name of the drink, but it was good!
Stopped for lunch and enjoyed the vegan vegetariana pizza and "pepperoni" pizza. They also do a set lunch menu which was really reasonable. The vegan pizzas were really tasty and I would 100% return! Lovely decor inside and the girls serving were really nice and friendly. Great customer service. We visited on a Friday lunch time and it was quite busy. They have lots of vegan/vegetarian options.
We have eaten here several times now and always have an enjoyable time. Food is always decent quality at a very reasonable price. Our sever Olivia was very charming and friendly and was very knowledgeable andd do helpful with our menu choices. We will definitely be returning soon.
Not being able to eat gluten, dairy or eggs (intolerance, not vegan) I sometimes find it difficult to eat out. The waitress was very helpful, directed me to the allergens information and helped me make a safe choice. The food was beautifully presented, and very tasty.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming. It was lovely and clean and all the staff we came across were polite and had a smile.

My sister and I came for dinner on her birthday, we hadn’t booked a table and were seated promptly. Lovely food, service was great and the staff were wonderful. We had a welcoming server who also kindly gave complimentary lemonchello at the end of our meal.
