We visited yesterday for a bite to eat and a drink. The food was great, the scone in particular being still warm from the oven was probably the nicest scone I've ever eaten. The staff are lovely, I'd highly recommend a visit

Went for lunch yesterday with my daughter. The food and the service were excellent. Good quality produce. Very friendly staff. We had the sharing platter and a bottle of wine. Came with varied warm crusty bread. Would definitely go again when in York.

A beautiful friendly little cafe/tea room serving cream teas and sandwiches, paninis etc. The cheese scone with cream cheese and ale chutney is absolutely delicious. Excellent!!

Called in here this afternoon. Had a gorgeous home made coffee cake and a lovely cup of tea. Really good friendly service. A great little cafe in the heart of the Shambles.

I have two students staying just now and I recommended they popped in to my favourite tearoom. They came back in raptures over your lovely scones!

Absolutely magical, enchanting Aladdin's cave of vintage treasures, reminiscent of Berlin fleamarkets ❤ Super friendly staff and outstanding brownies and cakes ❤ one of our highlights of York xx

Whilst we didn't enter this quaint shop we did have one of their amazing home made fruit scones with jam and clotted cream and a coffee served by them in the grounds of St. Crux at the lower end of the Shambles. A great move, particularly during the Covid restrictions, to have spacious outside seating available to enjoy their great food and drinks.

Great little, hidden away tea shop that I had never been to before. You walk through the downstairs shop that has all sorts of items for sale, till you work your way upstairs to the small but interesting dining area. It's almost as though you have gone back in time both in the way the actual layout of the interior is as well as the way the decorations have been carefully and thoughtfully laid out.

This licenced tea room is a real gem. Hired the top room for private party and the afternoon tea was one of the best. Staff very accommodating nothing too much trouble. Visited on 29th October.

My daughter and I had a lovely experience with myself enjoying a scone and pot of tea, and her having a panini and a strawberry and rhubarb drink.Pleasant staff and a nice cafe.

Lovely shop with a hidden cafe upstairs, the atmosphere is absolutely delightful, unfortunately the cappuccino experience wasn't as pleasing as the froth was very badly executed and difficult even to look at. I'll give this place another shot as I am confident mistakes can happen.
