The Flax And Twine - York - Photo album

Whilst we didn't enter this quaint shop we did have one of their amazing home made fruit scones with jam and clotted cream and a coffee served by them in the grounds of St. Crux at the lower end of the Shambles. A great move, particularly during the Covid restrictions, to have spacious outside seat
Wonderful Afternoon Tea! Cozy & cute place, great service! The fresh scones are AMAZING.
Great little, hidden away tea shop that I had never been to before. You walk through the downstairs shop that has all sorts of items for sale, till you work your way upstairs to the small but interesting dining area. It's almost as though you have gone back in time both in the way the actual layout
Popped in yesterday afternoon. Had the most beautiful cream tea. The scones were freshly cooked and still warm, absoulety fantastic. Will 100% come again on our next visit.
Very lovely place for an afternoon tea, no queue either, definitely a hidden jam!
This licenced tea room is a real gem. Hired the top room for private party and the afternoon tea was one of the best. Staff very accommodating nothing too much trouble. Visited on 29th October.
My daughter and I had a lovely experience with myself enjoying a scone and pot of tea, and her having a panini and a strawberry and rhubarb drink.Pleasant staff and a nice cafe.
Lovely shop with a hidden cafe upstairs, the atmosphere is absolutely delightful, unfortunately the cappuccino experience wasn't as pleasing as the froth was very badly executed and difficult even to look at. I'll give this place another shot as I am confident mistakes can happen.
This is our favourite gem of a cafe. The food is freshly prepared and delicious! The staff are friendly and very attentive.
