Wonderful staff and food. They went out of their way to accommodate us with our luggage and wheelchair and were ever so friendly. The food was amazing and the view is fantastic

Small café tucked away in the shadow of York Minster. Reasonably priced menu with a variety of freshly prepared food and interesting choices served all day. GF and vegan options available, space is tight.

Lovely cafe, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Nice menu, with good specials etc. Would recommend. Maybe some of the notes on the blackboard need changing, as the place is no longer 25 years old!

SO good. We arrived right at 6 when they opened. They accommodated our group of 8, and we let them know that we had a train to catch. Our ages ranged from 15 to 80 ( 3 generations of family). Most of us we Americans but had a local cousin and a British expat as well. Some ordered starters only

Really good food at reasonable prices. There is a big choice and also a specials board. There is plenty of staff so the service is quick even at busy times. The food is all home cooked. We will definitely be coming back.
I had tomato soup from here ages ago and it was by far the best tomato soup I've ever had in my life like it's actually a frequently visited memory of mine (I think about food a lot). Staff have always been nice and friendly. Love the interior.
