The name is spot on: cosy, inviting and with a sneaky hipster vibe. Succinct menu packed with street food from around the world. Nice cocktails, a fridge full of interesting craft beer, and a solid wine list. The Bao Buns were obscenely good. Highly recommended.

Great lunch today and loved that my puppy was welcomed too! She was given a plate of treats and water which was much appreciated! The veggie platter was delicious as was the Mexican burger that my husband ordered. Would definitely come back again!

Fabulous food - these guys really know their GF so I was 'Gut ache Free' after eating here. Our dog was welcomed brilliantly too - a bowl of water on arrival and doggie bikkies after the humans were fed. Perfect. These guys deserve to do well - please give them your custom when you are in York.

Great music venue and eatery. Friendly staff and a brilliant selection of drinks. So Nice to find a family friendly and dog friendly place in York city centre. Well worth a look. For a small place it has a brilliant family atmosphere, I'd heartily recommend popping in to sample a cocktail or to dine from the menu.

Stopped off here after a walk with our 2 kids (under 2) and pooch. Only planned on stopping for a drink and snack for the little ones but ended up staying for dinner! Lovely comfy seating area, healthy food for the kids for once and water and treats for the dog. Staff were lovely and friendly and the food was awesome! Will definitely be back here next time we visit York

Really nice drinks and food, we had a beef Lok lak which is a Cambodian beef stir fry served with onions, cucumbers and tomatoes, and dipped in an oyster sauce containing lime juice, salt and pepper. Very dog friendly! Coming here again.

Me and my sister were looking for somewhere away from the main streets to grab a drink and bite to eat. This place was perfect for us, very relaxed. Food was really nice and the staff we met were helpful and friendly. Didn't even tell us off for laughing too loud which was good! Would recommend x

What a burger! The Nook burger is a mountain, the parties were at least an inch thick with about a pound of melted cheese! Fantastic! Quick and attentive service and a good selection of food and drink.

Another super dog friendly cafe. This cafe is in busy York, very small place but staff and food were excellent. We need more dog friendly places!

Cosy place. Love the unusual drinks there too. The cans are very cool. Went on an open Mic night on a Friday and there was a good atmosphere and it's a fun night! Drinks aren't the cheapest and I started with a vodka martini which was great. I've been a few times now and will go again. The service is good and they will bring your drinks over to your table so you don't have to wait at the bar. There are candles on the table creating a lovely vibe. This could be a nice location for a date night.

Very nice little place with friendly staff and an interesting selection of food. I had the philly cheesesteak which was very good, and when I asked for some hot sauce for it they brought out a selection of three, which were all great. My partner had the vegan tacos which she also liked. They have a good selection of beers but also 2 cocktails for £10 which we had and enjoyed very much. The portions aren't the biggest but it's not particularly expensive, and it's such a nice vibe that I would definitely go again.

Cosy little bar and perfect for a relaxed open mic gathering. Drinks are pretty good too and the interior design exudes a sense of homeliness. If you're up to hanging out in a relaxed environment with your friends, this is a good place to check out. Definitely worth a visit, especially on Thursday and Friday nights (since thats when the open mic and live music sessions are on)

Welcoming, intimate and unpretentious. The menu is small but tasty but the craft beer selection extensive. Warmly recommended.

Great food and loads of choice of interesting craft beers. Barman was super nice and helpful in choosing a beer. I chose the Big burger on the menu (don't remember the name) and it was absolutely massive and delicious. the place had a super nice and chill vibe - I'll 100% be back.

Quiet and friendly little place with cocktails, unusual local beer and a tasty menu. I had the best pulled beef burger I've ever had (they normally fall apart but this one didn't), after which I could barely move. Interesting stout on tap. Priced well.

Went here for the first time last week. Loved the decor and the staff were very friendly and courteous. I had Bun Bao Korean shredded beef. It was a taste sensation. We live in London and will definitely be back soon just to come here.

Chose this place primarily because it is dog friendly, our daughter, and her dog, were visiting us for the day and this meant we could all eat together - indoors, a big plus on a drizzley day. After making our selections we were told that due to a large party who had already ordered and a small kitchen there would be a 45 minute wait for our food, we bought some bar snacks and drinks, took a gamble and decided to wait, this turned out to be a brilliant decision. The food was all wonderful , the freshness and quality of the ingredients shone through, these guys really know how to cook, I had the Bao buns with belly pork which were sublime, my daughter chose the Tandoori chicken with salad, she said it was delicious and was spiced to perfection and my husband worked his way through a huge but fantasticly flavoursome burger. The service was great, including a water bowl for our dog. I cannot recommend this place enough, as a family we eat out regularly and at this price point had pretty much given up on finding food of this quality.... we will certainly be back.

Great find. Cozy atmosphere with fabulous food. Fattoush and satay bao buns were exceptional. Staff very friendly and he picked exactly the correct ipa for me who likes a citrus one as I was overwhelmed with the choice. Would thoroughly recommend if your in York. Looks to be very popular as soon filed up by 1pm.
