I rarely do reviews but feel the need to as myself and partner visited on Sunday and had the nicest Sunday dinner we have ever had. I don't think our photos do it justice. Everything was cooked perfectly, finished with a chocolate dessert which was equally as nice. We are regulars to york and visit

Called in on a Friday afternoon to take advantage of the January special of 50% off food, We were the only 2 in which seemed strange and thought did people know something we didn’t about this place! We ordered drinks and 3 of their small plates to start, the pardon peppers, chicken & chorizo skewers
Plates are full. Husband got a steak and was cooked exactly how he asked. Mine was a pulled pork burger and you can see in photo how big (even though I had ate some). Busy, popular and great atmosphere.
Delicious food and portions are perfect. Had the Korean chicken smothered fries and chicken tikka. Great flavors. Could use Guinness on tap, wasn’t a fan of the stout.
Good food and friendly service from the staff and crew. Helpful and polite wait staff however was some slight wait for the food, when it arrived was perfect for a rainy day in York, others seem to enjoy the loaded fries and burgers, whilst I had their signature dish the bullette which was brilliant
