Lovely Alice in Wonderland themed coffee shop located upstairs via the Teddy Bear Shop in Stonegate, York. Two levels which you can be seated on, nice place to pop into for a hot drink and a snack. Waitress was very pleasant although seemed a tad rushed off her feet during Half-Term locally.

Came here for brunch, it is a bit hidden away upstairs in the teddy bear shop but a great find! Decorated in an Alice in wonderland theme, the menu also has themed names with different teas, milkshakes, sandwhiches and lots of cakes on the daily cake board. A decent price and a good portion, with most items on the menu available as gluten free or veg/vegan. Only thing that's missing is a separate list of sides or extras on the menu (toast, egg, hash brown, veggies etc), this would make it easier to mix items for a meal as the menu is small. But super friendly staff and great service! Would eat here again!

It used to be called the teddy bear cafe, but it is still as friendly & welcoming, Julie who owns the shop is lovely as is her staff who recognised us from a year & half ago! They went above and beyond for me and my husband so thank you so much. Its a great place for kids and adults & the food and drinks are lovely it's a lovely place for tourists

Situatated above Stonegate Teddy bears and used to be the Teddy Bear Tea Rooms. I'm pleased to say that the quality of the service is still as good and the food we had was really tasty and well presented. We had Eggs Benedict on Donka (German) bread. All food is cooked on site and meats are from a local York butchers. Only downside is access, a tight narrow staircase that makes it inaccessible to those who are physically impaired but it adds character to your visit. I will happily recommend a visit and hope to revisit myself on our next visit to York.

Highly recommended tea rooms. Fantastic lemon drizzle cake and pot of tea made with loose leaves. Ended up here as we would have had to queue to get in Bettys. We made the right decision! The place to go for great tea and cakes!

Friendly and helpful staff, amazing homemade cakes, brilliant coffee and milkshakes. What more can you ask for? Love the old building and theme too.
