Just simply the tastiest food, it feels really good, tastes great and I never feel bloated or uncomfortable. At my last visit I had the Daily Stew which was Pork with peppers and the creamiest tastiest Polenta I have ever eaten. You never have to add salt or chilies to make it taste good. Every plate or bowl of food is made with Love too.

What a great venue to have a party! My 50th Birthday party went with a swing, helped by the fabulous food and friendly/professional staff, can't recommend this restaurant, cafe, antiques house enough! Thanks so much for making it such a memorable evening. The international friends who had flown from major capitals of the world were so impressed too. Louisa

This place is absolute magic. The vibe is rustic but very elegant. It has a supper club kind of feel (which I love!). I had a fabulous dinner here with friends a while back. Beautiful, creative dishes prepared perfectly. Also, there were very non-boring super delicious options for vegetarians. I just remember the whole night everyone was eating off of one another's plates -- everyone ordered something awesome that the whole table needed to try, you know? I know it seems like I'm being hyperbolic, but for real, this place is very special. Also, really lovely and attentive service. A real jewel, through and through. ( I cant wait to come back and try the bimbimbap!)

The best breakfast I've had in York since moving here three years ago and the cakes are beautiful! Love the outdoor space too- wish they opened on more evenings.

While in York with Ros Woodhurst, Sally Woodhurst and Fiona Wallace, for work reasons, we dropped into this delightful little bistro cafe. Very good, tasty and unusual Middle Eastern/Mediterranean flavours, and delicious looking cakes which, sadly we didn't have time enough to sample!

Had the most delicious brunch here - avocado on sourdough. Perfectly seasoned with lime, rock salt, garlic and oil. Coffee amazing - it would have been worth a trip here for that alone. I am vegan and this was not the slightest problem - they even reduced the bill as I had not had the goats cheese. Attentive (but not in your face) and exceptionally friendly and professional staff. Exquisite venue. Would advise anyone to make time to visit this restaurant.

This place is an ‘experience’. Menu is unique with ample veg and vegan options. Certainly on+20/head side, but probably worth it. Ordered aubergine Parmesan, it was super. The also the vegan breakfast is super nice. Coffee and chai latte was so so. The portions are satisfying. Will visit again when in York. The staff is quite attentive. Ambience is a vibe. Don’t forget to check the bakery. Overall 10 out of 10!

Good quality, slow service, Worth the price? Maybe, if you want to spend more than 20$ (per person) for a warm breakfast. Better to reserve in advance, on weekends, it is crowded, and you have to wait, a minimum of 10 minutes, up to around half an hour. They have a tent to extend the sitting area, and it was not bad. Clean? Yes, the restaurant and the restroom both were clean. Menu? Interesting items, especially for breakfast and brunch.

The food and portions 10/10. I’m a massive foodie and I highly recommend, our server was absolutely lovely too, super smiley and happy to assist with a gluten intolerance. Worth getting a booking for breakfast as they fill up quickly!

The shop’s atmosphere was pretty good. Two people tried to go in for a quick coffee but we were told the shop is closing, only we can get takeaway. We asked again - only need cups of coffee use the toilet and we’ll be out and we did exactly what we said. I couldn’t taste lovely looking filo pastry or anything. Coffee was nice but a bit light for my taste. At the entrance a guy with glasses who let us in he was nice and polite but waiting stuff a bit in a hurry to finish, close and go mood. I was in a rush to order and again in a rush to pay my bill. One of waiting staff was very friendly, thank her but she didn’t serve us :-))

Absolutely amazing. Fantastic coffee! Wasn’t sure about the Persian Eggs being scrambled but they were epically good - perfect mix of spice, heat and sweetness - and just the right amount. Wish I lived here and could go back every month! Chilled, but lovely, atmosphere. Staff were all so nice! :)

Find out about this place via google search "best breakfast in York" & was not disappointed! On a busy Saturday morning staff welcomed us in without a reservation and quickly got us our hot drinks. The food is incredible, affordable & just what you need to get you started with the day! ... Later we came back to try their selling pastries - brownie and maple danish were delicious too☺️

Beautiful little bakery cafe a stones throw from the gate we entered the city from (7 mins from train station). Bigger on the inside than expected with additional heated seating out the back. Incredible, ever changing selection of baked goods at good prices (£4-5 each) as well as a satisfying brunch menu. Would recommend.

Came here for brunch on a weekend. The french toast was absolutely amazing. They were very busy so food took a while to come, but we weren't in a rush and the staff were all super friendly. We also bought some pastries/cake from the bakery to take away which was also really good! Would absolutely recommend this place, can't wait to come back.

Sometimes, looks are definitely deceptive. When walking past Partisan, it didn't look all that appealing. It was plain curiosity about the queue outside that drew us in, only to discover what a fantastic place this is. A brilliant range of food to cater for every taste. All served by very welcoming and friendly staff. We had brunch here for two days running, and the only disappointment was that we weren't staying in York for longer.
