First time I have eaten here despite living in york all my life, absolutely amazing food and fantastic service. The waiter gave us advice on the menu which was delicious. We had the set meal for two where you can pick 4 tapas plus a mixed grill and ice cream. Superb value for money and plenty of food. All cooked to perfection and so tasty. Will definitely recommend and will most certainly be back again soon. Thank you for a fabulous meal and great atmosphere.

This place was amazing!!! The food was second to none. An absolute gem of a place! So glad we found it. Thank you so much for such a wonderful evening! Roaring fire warmed us to the core amidst the blizzard outside! Fantastic service and wonderful atmosphere. We would return to York again just to have dinner here!
Great location in the heart of York not to far from the shops and minster. Welcoming staff with great spaced en suite rooms. Great choice of food with a bar also with cracking cocktails.. Definitely recommend this place and will be speaking to friends about the place. can't wait to hit back at this place real soon :)
Me and my husband had a meal last night here and the tapas was absolutely gorgeous! Service was prompt, we had a lovely table near the window, I highly recommend and when we visit York again we will be back! �

Beautiful food and wonderful service. We visited here as a table of 4 for my 30th birthday. My husband and I had a wonderful mixed mezze - it was beautiful! The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a get together or birthday. I honestly couldn't fault a thing. Thank you for a lovely 30th birthday meal, we will definitely be returning! x

Just come home from a weekend in York and stayed at zills ,the rooms were lovely ,spotlessly clean ,it's a very quirky little place and the hostess and her son were lovely they made us very welcome ,the breakfast was 5 star ,would definitely stay again .
Loved it! It's the first time in a very long time that I have managed to sit down and enjoy the space around me. The room is small but there are only five tables which allows for loads of room to sit down and enjoy the delicious food! The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The menu is limited but every dish was well presented and tasted like heaven ! Needless to say.... We will be going back

Nice little gem just in the centre of York. Cozy little place, very romantic with candles etc. Excellent staff and professional and quick service. The food was excellent, tasty and nicely decorated! The only thing there is to improve would be to make the portions slightly bigger. As someone who have been in many restaurants and enjoys good food i definately recommend it! I visited with some friends on my birthday and they went the extra mile offering us some aperitifs! So kind of them! Will go again for sure! Thank you!
An absolute must if you are in York. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was so good it made us feel like we were on holiday! The ambiance and overall feel of the place was delightful. We will definitely be coming back!

I bloody love Zill's! Was introduced to it a few years ago by friends, and have been going back ever since. The menu doesn't tend to change, but what they do, they do very well. The quality is consistently high, and it's tasty and not too expensive. The lamb kebab is highly recommended! Lovely intimate atmosphere, and the waiter is friendly and attentive. Please support this little gem of a place - I want to be able to keep enjoying it for a long time to come! :)
Weekend away in york and this place was amazing! Recommended by a friend and I'd definitely go back the next time I come to York. Food was brilliant and the service was impeccable! If I could give more stars I would! Thank you for having us!
Lovely meal and service. Grilled calamari was quite possibly the best calamari I have ever eaten. All the tapas was delicious, though. The dolma and the baklava were also wonderfully cooked.
