Stylish restaurant close to the city center.
We arrived late in York and were looking for a quick dinner.
We found the Enocota and were attracted by the cozy interior.
The food, service and ambiance were very nice allowing us to enjoy a tasty late dinner last night.

This place was lovely.
A very warm welcome from the front of house and the waiting staff. Lovely people.
Food was excellent.
We ordered bread and olives and were given a lovely surprise of a really warm flatbread, and plenty of it too. The olives were very enjoyable as was the ramekin of olive oil and balsamic.
Main courses were the Sea Bass oven baked with a lobster sauce and vegetables. A big plate of food but absolutely delicious. We also had the Linguini Carbonara with chicken. At first I thought it was a touch bland, but the flavour of the sauce really grew as I ate a very hearty plateful. Superb.
Dessert was just for one of us, and I had the Chocolate Tartufo. It has always been a favourite, and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely beautiful.
The smells coming out of the kitchen were amazing, and we saw pizzas arrive in the table next to us. They looked delicious and we're huge! Definitely for next time!
Last nod of appreciation is to the wine list, which was dull.of Italian gems and well thought out. I had a beautiful glass of negroamaro. My only comment, the smallest size glass was 175ml. I'd have preferred a 125ml. Just a small comment. A real 10/10 place.

Fantastic evening meal at Enoteca, great selection of foods to please any palate. Choice of a fixed or al-a-carte menu’s. We had the 10oz Rump steak which came perfectly cooked and the chips were nicely seasoned. Definitely recommend if you want a lovely meal.

You won't believe the amazing spread we enjoyed! The captured bill tells the story of the mouth-watering dishes that left us all feeling satisfied and happy. And let me tell you, Louise went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable.
Delicious food is really great for Coeliacs as the chef also has it. A great selection of meals. Lovely atmosphere!
Wow wow wow. We had a group of 29 of us for my sister's hen and with a mix of dietary requirements. Thank you Tana and Charlotte for all your help, we had a delicious meal and a wonderful time. The food came out hot and well timed. The staff were all friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed! I'll definitely be coming back.
Deceptively spacious as there's three floors! Service was friendly and super super quick. Great set menu £22 for 2 courses. I had the special aubergine starter and I could've eaten a huge bowl of it, it was delicious. Highly recommend. Partner has the steak for an extra £4. Also very good and cooked perfectly. Would recommend for sure for a simple but super tasty meal
An amazing little place (boiling hot inside tho) delicious food which was worth the slightly higher prices than others around the area. We were served quickly and well taken care of. I would definitely go back !

I’m so happy that I decided to stop by and have an early dinner. I ordered the lasagna and let me tell you, it’s the BEST lasagna I’ve had. It’s cheesy, flavorful and made with love! Highly recommended restaurant if you are in York!
We had organised a family gathering for 11 people and needed to find a restaurant for the Saturday evening. My nephew lives in York and he recommended Enoteca as a very good Italian restaurant. A quick call to book the table and I was assisted by a friendly staff member. Following that, emails from Charlotte to confirm selections for the large group and she could not be more helpful to plan everything went smoothly. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly welcoming staff and shown to our group table. Everything was well organised and the food was fantastic (everyone commented how good their food was). We will certainly be back next time we come to York.

Amazing italian food, really well priced, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Went there twice on our stay at York, really would recommend and would happily go again! I had the fillet steak one evening and it was hands down the best steak I've ever had, melted in the mouth! Really Really happy with this restaurant not one bad thing to say about it!

Very small looking place but that is deceptive as the have room upstairs. Good choice of wine by the bottle or glass. Pizzas bad pasta very good quality on a par or better the Gino in Manchester. Friendly service and food delivered promptly. Good view of the kitchen working.
We visited Enoteca By L’uva on October 13, 2023. We both ordered the two course lunch. She ordered the tomato-basil soup and vegetarian lasagna, me antipasto and Diavolo pizza. The service was great (Soofyane), the atmosphere perfect, the staff attentive, yet not rushed. Superior ingredients, a lovely setting, an incredible meals.
Fantastic meal! We had the set menu which was varied and good value. Brilliant steak in particular. Quick, friendly service (the couple next to us complained that their bolognese came with rigatoni and not spaghetti when the menu had clearly said rigatoni… the staff didn’t bat an eyelid and got it changed..!!). Great to see it so busy on a Monday night.
