We went for a meal this evening at this welcoming restaurant with our lovely (but lively!) 4 children. The food was excellent and the service was on another level! Our server, Joanna was incredible! She engaged with the children, and even let them help her lay the table! Although the pub was busy, she took the time to ensure we were happy. This made our evening! Best service we have encountered in a long time! Thank you

Overall nice pub. Great atmosphere with loads of small screened individually decorated areas containing only a few tables, Nice variety of pub food and good value breakfast, continental choices and simple flexible style full English breakfast (just select the components, and they are cooked fresh and served quickly). No other choices like Benedict, salmon etc, just full English. Could no with some minor refresh, some of the seats had worn fabric and the entry was a bit shabby but overall great place to meet a few friends over a meal and a drink.

Good for an emergency pit stop, friendly staff, who were very understanding/reassuring when child accidentally broke a glass. Not much atmosphere when we visited as it was very early evening meal - no-one else other than staff present. Food was good for the price.

Came with my 2 young grandchildren for some dinner. They both had pizza & I had the smothered chicken. Service was excellent. Food was lovely & it all came out very quickly.

Spontaneous visit for breakfast this morning with my man. Lovely porridge made by Chef Diana. Great service from Nicky. Great value for money. Will be back for more.

We visited recently with my brother and his wife. We booked online and requested a table by the window, but we needn't have worried as we were the only customers in when we arrived. We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table by the window. The waitress came and advised us that there were a number of dishes that were unavailable and then she took our order and the food arrived within 20 minutes, the peas looked a little wrinkly as if they had been sat under the heat lamp for a while, yet they were still quite juicy inside. The meals were very acceptable, just the right amount to fill you without bursting you. Service overall was very good and efficient, if I was in the area I would be happy to return. On a note about the facilities, the Disabled toilet facilities are right by the front door, not the one to the rear of the building as that has no disabled facilities and there are a few disabled parking spaces right outside the door.

The lady that served us was polite and friendly, didn't have food, so could not comment, the pub was quiet. Could do with a little bit of updating but clean and tidy.

Used the restaurant as stopping at the premier inn. Friendly staff. Did have the meal early evening but did take long to come out. Very good, hot and enjoyable. Staffed checked regularly to see if all was well. Had the breakfast next morning and was just as good. Food to order. Didn't take long and hot. Couldn't complain.

A group of 11 Morris dancers had breakfast at the Airfield Tavern after dancing the Sun up on May Day. It was excellent! Plenty to eat, lovely, friendly staff & good value for money. Will definitely do the same next year. 😀
