We were recommended the pub when visiting the Fleet Air Arm Museum. What an amazing place - staff were fantastic- I mean fantastic. The food was equally amazing- fillet steak cooked to perfection and my wife’s chicken dish was to die for. They were immense with outlet two children and had some toilets and games to play. I can not recommend it enough ..
We had booked a small double, but the room we had was far from small. Very comfortable and great facilities. Impressive evening meal. Fillet steak gorgeous and lamb just as good. Would heartily recommend 👍
My favourite place to stay when visiting the area. The hotel is clean, warm and welcoming. The food is great (catering for food allergies too) and the staff are very friendly. Love this place!
What a great stay me and family have had, only 1 night to meet friends. Fantastic breakfast too, had our 3 children and 2 dogs with us, very relaxing and planning to come again :D
Simply tremendous. From the fun and friendly 'regulars' in the front bar, the warm and welcoming service, the lovely room with extra comfy beds, to the great breakfast, visiting and staying here was truly a last minute stroke of brilliance. Highly recommended. We loved our stay and will definitely do go back.
Maria and I had our wedding reception there almost a year ago on the 9th of November, and Lucy and her staff couldn't do enough for us, the afternoon and evening were fantastic and so was the food, we even had our room for free, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Walked in late on Sunday afternoon wanting a feed. Was greeted with a warm welcome. Staff very attentive. Food was fantastic and not overpriced. Beer was also reasonably price with a good range.
Very warming staff excellent food,been there 3 or 4 times and have enjoyed every minute there,if you are ever passing through Ilchester please find time to stop there,X

Staff so helpful made our stay even better. We had room one at the top but wasn't a problem for us nice clean room and confertable bed would definitely stay again. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice.
We were a group of about 30 People, having a "Farewell-Lunch", with just a short preparation-time, there. The staff was really nice and helpful in gathering all the menu-choices. Once there the food came out almost simultaneously, which was very nice. I was very happy with my choice, and no one else complaint either. So all in all a very smooth and enjoyable time there.
We really liked it here. Had dinner on a Monday night while passing through and the food was very good. Service from Sabrina was prompt and efficient and made everything go smoothly. I stupidly left behind a jumper that after a quick phone call was arranged to be posted back to me. Really appreciated that and shows they care too. Highly recommended.
Very nice and tidy rooms; the only downside I can mention is the bed seemed quite firm. Otherwise it was very lovely! A fan is provided and the sash windows work properly, always a bonus when it's warm. Dinner and breakfast are very nice as well with many options. Beer garden at the back is behind the building so away from traffic. Off street parking for guests with some spots available on the main street. Lots of space for various functions too.
Really impressed with this hotel , great decor and lay out, friendly efficient staff, lovely clean rooms, nice garden area, also fantastic breakfast with lots of choice, prices at the bar reasonable.
I stay in a lot of hotels and this is one of my favourites, would definately recommend 👌
Stayed 1 night in the weird pudding cottage. Excellent accommodation. Breakfast was well cooked and delicious. All staff were very well coming and friendly.
Very pleasant stay , the staff were excellent attentive and couldn’t do enough to help . The food was delicious . We were a hen party and they had dressed the room so nicely .

Great and interesting menu. Good wine menu. Seared calf liver is delicious. Really nice cooked breakfast.
Only dropped rooms by one star as is a little noisy from traffic but after a decent meal with wine I didn't care!!

Just been in here tonight and had an absolutely fantastic evening. The staff we dealt with were wonderful, the food was delicious and is a wonderful place for a special occasion. Considering what we had, it was very reasonably priced and we will be back. Thank you all.
A bit pricey, but a lovely lunch and caramel latte. Friendly staff and nice beer garden.
