I mean, the place is lush after the refurb, but I can tell you I had the most amazing service I have ever received, it made me and my family feel so welcome and warm, it was all because of Lisa Taylor. I asked her name cause truly she was so amazing, I want to give this lady so much credit, warm, happy, service with a smile and she made me and my family have a great time, we will be back hopefully to see her again, all the staff were great and I could see she was going out of her way to tend to everyone, what an amazing lady.

Part of a chain, the pub had a good menu of traditional pub offerings. My wife and I had a special offer for burgers. They were tasty, came with fries (the best) in a tiny bucket and was served promptly. Cutlery was 'help yourself', and they were out of napkins so there was'blue roll' provided as a substitute, which while slightly disappointing was welcome, preferable to nothing and fairly ingenious. We were served by two members of staff during the evening, one was lovely, welcoming, friendly, smiling, the other was a little bit curt, unhappy?, I wonder if they had had a bad day, was over-worked and under-paid or whatever. The atmosphere was a little awkward as a neighbouring table had guests who were hard of hearing and talked rather loudly. The pub celebrates the author J K Rowling as they grew up in the town. It was quite dark inside, and on a sunny day, sitting next to a window my eyes found it difficult to adjust from bright sun to dark interior. There was plenty of parking, outside seating, and the toilets were okay. There was pool available. I would go again, the menu would suit my children and it was reasonably priced, even without the offer we had.

Sat in their garden. Beautiful day. Value for money food & drinks. Garden needed a tidy, grass cut etc. But enjoyed ourselves all the same so all good.

The main course my wife ordered was fish, the order was taken and paid for, only for the server to come across after to say that they had no fish so she would have to choose another dish. Their system should be set up that only takes orders and payment for items that they can cook.

As always, excellent, apart from the fact that they never have any fish and chips! Used to it now so always have plan B when we order. Went with family, liked the fact that our six different meals all arrived at same time. Reasonably priced (I don't know how they do it), wine and drinks not expensive either. Waiting staff friendly and polite. Have been here lots of times and everyone a winner!

I enjoy this place a lot, it's never too busy and I can bring my dog. Good deals on drinks but best of all, the new chicken and halloumi kebabs are INCREDIBLE and great price. Will come here again just for that

Today, I met my relatives at this vibrant pub and I was greeted by a warm atmosphere. Usually, we would visit the nearby Lawns, but we considered giving this place a chance, and we were right to do so. We sat near the entrance doors to the kitchen and our meals were delivered to our table without us having to wait too long. The staff were down to earth and polite, football was shown on the wall-mounted flat screen TV, and music was playing, which somewhat interfered with our conversation, albeit it was anything but unsettling. Someday, I may visit again.

Brilliant. Had 2 meals from the senior menu. Cooked perfectly. Soup to start which was nice and hot followed by all day breakfast. Fantastic value for money. I don't understand how they can do it at the price charged. We were served by Grace who was very kind, polite and attentive. Would certainly recommend and would come back again.
