Whenever we get to the isle of wight we always come to gossips for either breakfast or lunch the food is always fantastic and the staff always very helpful i would certainly highly recommend. Take my word it truly is amazing and highest quality food :)
We have stayed on the IOW many times now & we always manage to either walk or drive to Gossips cafe it is very delightful tea stop or lunch with excellent service & wonderful views of Yarmouth pier. Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone visiting the island x
My daughter and I wouldn't feel that we've had a proper holiday on the beautiful Isle of Wight if we hadn't been to Gossips for lunch ...their crab sandwiches are simply heaven on a plate ... Yes a little expensive but hey we're on holiday 😊 The staff are friendly and welcoming; nothing too much trouble ...great experience.
We stay in Yarmouth regularly and Gossips is where we often go for Lavazza coffee and a light lunch or late breakfast. You get a friendly welcome and quick service from staff who have been there a long time in some cases. The food is fresh, wholesome and generously-sized, with a large selection of sandwich fillings, jacket potatoes, beautiful fresh salad bowls and lots of hot specials. The crab salad is delicious! Collect your own cutlery & condiments and find a seat to get a brilliant view over the Solent. This is a very busy cafe with queues often forming out of the door, but these are dealt with quickly and patiently. As the saying goes, Gossips 'is what it is' - no pretence or putting on airs. We love it!
A fab breakfast and a lovely view. Nice friendly staff and great value...i loved it
It was lovely and warm after a very cold and windy walk . The perfect place for hot coffee and Cakes and a good view thank you
Excellent crab sandwich and cup of tea. My gluten free sister had a lovely quiche.
Lovely place to sit with a cuppa and watch the world go by x x x ⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓beautiful and they make a superb cuppa too 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Great cafe, overlooking The Solent. Have had lunch and breakfast here. Everything made fresh to order, the sausages and eggs are local and tasted delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lunch was great, the baguettes are generously filled and have a good crunch. Highly recommended
I have scored it as 4 star as I found the menu rather expensive for what it is. I’m my opinion the portions could be bigger. The food quality is good and the location in lovely. Have visited many times. And may visit again.
Visited early morning after popping over with the ferry. Lovely views overlooking the pier, managed to get a table right next to the window as wasn’t very busy at that time. We had breakfast which was tasty and a nice size portion. Would visit Gossips cafe again if in the area.
Sausage baguette had beautiful sausages in it but maybe a bit too much bread to sausage. A soft bap would have been perfect. Egg and bacon bagel was very tasty. Efficient friendly service. 👍. Busy place.
A wonderful cafe,on the edge of Yarmouth pier. Staff were excellent, friendly and very welcoming. The bacon, chicken and stilton panini was delicious and hot. There is wonderful views of the pier and Wightlink ferry and boats out on the water.
BTW the outside of the cafe is deceptive to what is actually inside. It's much better on the inside.
Lovely cafe on the sea front with a view of the pier literally next doors.
Cooked food is fresh and hot, made to order. There is a fridge/display with certain foods that can be eaten cold ie cakes or heated up ie sausage roles.
If you want a morning out or something to eat; be it lunch or a full English, I recommend Gossips Cafe.
The atmosphere is great and the parking is literally outside 👍
Food was amazing. Freshly made so took a bit of time but well worth it!!
Stopped here for lunch as part of a bike ride of the island. Was very nice and filled us up. Very reasonable prices aswell especially considering the location.
A nice little cafe, offering a wide variety of Breakfast and lunch offerings as well as coffee, tea and cakes and pastries. Located at the beginning of the pier. If can get a window seat you will have a great view. It was quite busy when we went, however service was still fairly quick. We had lunch, so sandwiches, baguettes and my youngest had the mac and cheese topped with bacon. The food was lovely no complaints. They also have daily specials which on this day was pizza's. Would definitely recommend this place. There is a dessert place right opposite which sells ice creams and waffles etc. My lads had the waffles topped with ice cream, fresh cream, crumled biscuits. I was served by Keith. An absolute gentleman.
We recently visited the island for our honeymoon and came across this absolute gem! We had breakfast here on 2 occasions and both the food was delicious, great value for money and service was wonderful! The outside tables with views over the Solent are beautiful. Highly recommend a visit 😀
Coffee was fantastic. Food was very fresh. Service okay, not overly friendly.
Location really good.
One of the best cafe’s we have ever been to! The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Despite it being peak time (lunchtime on a sunny day in June), they seemed to know exactly how to manage the flood of people coming in. We had a gorgeous filled baguette. The bread and fillings were super fresh. We will be back next time we are visiting the area :-)
The Gossips Cafe is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal or snack with stunning views of the Solent. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Yarmouth.
I had the panini, which was perfectly cooked and served with a generous portion of salad and coleslaw. We also shared a cake, which was delicious.
The Gossips Cafe has a lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the Solent, which is perfect for a summer meal. There is also a large indoor dining area with the excellent view.
The service at The Gossips Cafe was very friendly and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.
Overall, I had a great experience at The Gossips Cafe. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the views were stunning. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Yarmouth.
My children very much enjoyed their margherita pizzas and the paninis were very good too. As a vegan I felt like my options were somewhat limited, unless I fancied something spicy.
Lovely café, with great views of Yarmouth's harbour, pier, and The Solent. Quick and friendly service with welcoming staff. The food is of very good quality and tastes excellent, and presentation is very thought out too, however said food is certainly quite pricey for the portions that you receive! 😬
Overall though, a very nice little café to get a bite to eat, before or after taking the ferry! 🛳️
