We stumbled upon mint hobo by accident today. I popped in for a take away coffee for the hubby and I because we had the dog. I was told by tbe lovely staff that woofies are welcome so we stayed for lunch. The food was delicious and the coffee was amazing too, but by far the best thing about this place was the wonderful staff. They welcomed us and couldn't do enough for us. I'd highly recommend and we'll be back soon.
My weekend wouldn't be complete without a trip to Mint Hobo! We're always made to feel so welcome by the team, feels more like visiting friends than going to a coffee shop. Coffee is by far the best in Yarm and those homemade cakes never disappoint. Would recommend to anyone!! Keep up the amazing work you guys �

We discovered Mint Hobo through Groupon, having ordered the 'Sharing Board with Gin and Tonic for Two' and we were not disappointed. From the second we walked in we were made to feel welcome, the staff were friendly and polite but in a genuine way that you don't always find. They were clued up on their Gin, offering us advice when selecting our drinks. We took a seat and didn't wait long for the drinks to arrive. This was followed by our sharing board. Even the plates had been heated up to help our little packs of butter melt and spread easily on the homemade bread. There was a good range of meats, cheese and Olives. Combined with our Gin and tonics and sat by the window as the Christmas lights of the town started to shine, we were in our element!
At one point the owner popped in and made the effort to come and chat with us. He seemed very friendly and genuinely pleased we'd given them a try. Often we take advantage of a good deal on Groupon but in this case, we both agreed that had we paid full price we still would have got very good value for money.

If you're a Gin or Coffee lover and want to enjoy either of them in a relaxed atmosphere, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff, then we highly recommend you give this little place a visit, you will not regret it.
The place is simply outstanding, best customer service you will find, best coffee you will find, best snacks you will find and if you fancy a beer try the Lucky Buddha Beer...sublime. KEEP IT LOCAL. Won’t go anywhere else now ��

I absolutely love this place, excellent selection of drinks and amazing food, the staff just can't help you enough, this is my main coffee shop now. the others ain't a patch on this place, :-D
leading the way for independent coffee houses. Really great sought out coffee- this isn't your ubiquitous mass bought chain supply, its hand chosen, served by happy dedicated staff in a fabulous setting. Really top marks - recommend it 100%
What a brilliant place! Such knowledge and passion for coffee!!! Advice on choosing which type of coffee best suited our taste was top notch as was the attitude and friendliness of the staff. We will definitely be telling our friends and we will definitely be back!!!
Lovely place, food was delicious. I had the halloumi and beetroot slaw wrap with a latte. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Place itself is small and cosy and they seem to know their regulars well. Would recommend giving it a try xx.
Absolutely gorgeous platter at Mint Hobo in Yarm today. The platters are usually big enough for two, but the lovely girls who work here were very accommodating to cater for just me, who just had to try it. I ordered a smoothie it was absolutely gorgeous!! My friends had latè and they came with hearts in the froth on the top. Exceptional attention to detail even with the food. All presented very well and tasted amazing to.
Great atmosphere and pleasant staff very happy to help and serve to the table. We're defiantly coming back x.

Lovely coffee house with friendly staff. Good selection of fresh hot and cold sandwiches and lots of indulgent cakes and treats. Not lots of space inside but nice decor and freshly baked bread for sale! Almond and coconut milk and possibly a return of oat milk soon (please!) :)

Just lush! Vegan options available, including the BEST vegan burrito I've ever eaten. Just bare in mind parking in Yarm can be a bit tricky.
