Great pub right next to railway station. Wide selection of real ales and good food menu. Sun trap when it's out, with extensive seating. A little gem.

Huge selection of real ale. Simple menu of pub meals 11am-4pm. Immediately adjacent to the level crossing so anyone so inclined can enjoy the views of the trains passing.

A lovely old pub set on the side of the river Tyne by Wylam railway station. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but no parking. Children are allowed in the games room where you will find a games machine (over 18s only) and a pool table. Several booth style seating areas, a bay window seating area and a tv. The building is old and full of character with bespoke stain glass windows. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely return and recommend to others.

We love this place and always plan a stop here when we are up this way. Probably the best pub in the world!!. Handy for the trains doesn't come into it, as the pub is literally right next to the railway station and its grade 2 listed elevated signal box. Bewildering array of real ales on the bar, each one in tip top condition. Thai food is also served but we were only here for the beer and we were not disappointed.

This pub is lovely and our room was spotless. Bathroom/toilet was beautiful and clean and the kitchen too. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The staff are very welcoming and helpful and so polite. The location is superb as the Train station is literally at the side of The Boathouse. The trains going passed didn't disturb at all. Thank you for a lovely stay. To be honest we would normally stay in an en suite but it was just fine. Laura and Paul
